Awesome display of riding by Roczen, Cairoli, Nagl, DeSalle, Leok, Paulin and deDyker. It was a lesson on how to ride a rough sand track. We simply got smoked.

Not that I am happy the USA got 3rd, but I did say after the qualifying that the Germans and Belbians should be the favorites.. Its like a home race for them.. Its hard to beat talented guys in thier own backyard..

Well done boys...you faught hard but got beat. That is life. I don't like all of the left handed compliments talking of home track advantage, or sand this, or we should all race on a hybrid track that...that is baby talk. Man up congradulate the winners and move on. Maybe southwick will pay attention and disk the track to the state that it usedd to be so our boys will have a true sand national.

Congrats to our boys. Its hard out there.WHO knew we would get 3rd? Oh well Bagget,RD and Barcia are much better sand riders now and come southwick they will prove it. HERLINGS was the star for sure. Barcia held it together. I knew Barcia was the fastest American on sand he just had some bad luck but bounced back quick

NExt yr we will get them. Its gonna be on hard pack Germany. Cairolli surprised me and so did the russian dude Bobryshelve. Bobrysheve passed Dungey sr8 up twice. so that was surprising. We had the strongest 3 man team but the terrain was unfamiliar so to still get podium against guys that race the terrain evry yr is a Job well done.

Oh yea 2015 we will put a riding clinic at Glen Helen!!! I hope Bagget rides the 250 there he is so good at GH.

I think Roczen was the real star today. To be honest, it could really come as no surprise that sand master Herlings and Cairoli, for whom Lommel is practically a home track, would be tops in MX3 and MX1. However, the real difference was Roczen's ability to put a 250 so high up into the standings. What was it - a 5th and a 4th for him - something like that. Crazy!!!

After I saw the first moto results, I realized it was gonna be hard to top the Germans with Roczen riding like that.

Roczen anchored the German team and they got the job done. Simple as that.

Sorry guys.. Herlings would have smoked Roczen even when he rode a 250...

funny how there was an uproar about how barcia shouldnt have been picked he was the only one with decent speed in his races he was on his way to a 3-3 till the front brake locked up i had a feeling dungey might not do well and i really thought bagget was gonna do a lot better but whats dodne is done

also its to bad the battle between JH & AC didnt get to materialize the question is still left unanswered but after watching herlings I think he has a slight edge over him Im sure impressed at how fast those two can ride that track its quite amazing

this is a motocross track ? it looked more like a flat track buried in sand . we lost this year to some very great riders but even roczen knows its very different than american motocross . in the end if you race motocross it doesnt matter what country your from we all are family .

just goes to show that coming into an event as the heavy favorite can be a disadvantage...congrats to germany and Roczen for finally putting Germany on top...a little payback for getting spanked by the yanks in the states ? no worries..the US will be back on top next year..you can bank on that !!!

Gentlemen, when arguing over who was the best member of Team USA remember, it's not about "what if's", it's about results.

Dungey - 15 pts
Barcia - 17 pts
Baggett - 20 pts.

Personally, I'm very proud of the way or team battled, and how they conducted themselves in defeat. I hope our USA fan base does as well in the days to come???

Big deal so we lost. It just proves USA is human. The Euro's won on this day on this track. Its one race. Our guys have nothing to be ashamed of. They lost to great riders, not no names. Did anyone really expect the USA to never lose. The teams that won deserve to be congratulated they earned thier win and should enjoy it. let's move on.

If Barcia's front wheel hadn't been messed up and he didn't clean out Dungey on accident in moto3 then we would have potential picked up 16 points based on where they were running and we would have won this frickin thing again

@ fricknfrack...i'm not from NY and I know how to spell and type unlike you tough guy..go back to jr high and listen this time instead of bullying the other kids and if you're smart enough to find your way back to this thread keep it about moto stuff ok frick? (replace the f with a p)

Moto663: how could Barcia pick up 16 points without the wheel problem? I don't know what kind of race you watched, but there was a Belgian and an Estonian rider who were simply faster than he was in moto 2. 14 minus 4 equals 10
Anyway against Germany there was nothing to do.
