Looks like my first post got blasted, maybe the content was a little harsh. First off, I was really hoping to see Stroupe at the top of his game in 2012. Over the winter I was re-watching some of his battles with Pourcel in the 2009 East Lites and AS has the potential to be so good. But he's had nothing but bad luck, and I think his career is at a serious crossroads. With less money in the sport in general, riders have to produce. Star Valli Racing has had an incredibly bad start to 2012 (Morais, Sipes, Stroupe all out).
stroupe, in my opinion, has had his opportunity and didnt take advantage of being on the most powerful lites team in the sport. maybe he can rebuild his career, but history is not to his favor. he had loads of talent.......but not the heart and desire to stay focused and on track. distractions deprived him of his full potential and now time and injuries may rob him of ever reaching the fulfillment of his talent. and so it goes.......... just my opinion
Austin, hope you can get beyond all the bad breaks and be back soon. You've got alot of talent. Good luck!
