Wauw, didn't expect that from an Alessi interview. He starts with his bullsh*t lines as always, but then he's totally relaxed and cool. Wish him the best of luck this season, think he deserves it after all he's been through.

Are you kidding me... That was it.. what a joke.. That was one of the crappest interview that I have seen...

"My dads not the manager, he just tells everyone what to do and thats pretty much bow down to me!" They call you stallion because you are getting beat and uglier as you get older just like Rocky did. Sorry bud, you have relegated yourself to the bottom on the barrel with your childlike antics throughout the years. But hey, we both do have something in common. We could care less about each other and wish each other would just GO AWAY!

I still want to see him win a main. He is a fast rider and being a moto dad it is up to what the kid wants. My son told me that it helps him if I'm hard on him. He doesn't always like it but it helps him. Mike said that it hurt him and his riding when his dad wasn't there.

Can we try to be civil and respectful on here?
None of us have lived the lives of these racers for them. Only they have had the experiences that they have had to make them who they are. I am not a fan of some of those "childlike antics throughout the years" either, but isn't insulting a professional athlete from the safety of your own home behind a computer monitor akin to childlike antics? Lets try to be respectful and only say things we would have the sack to say in person to someone. What did Mike Alessi do to YOU? You must assume that there is a good chance that he gets on here and reads this stuff? He is a real person. Oh well... I said it. I don't imagine it will help

Interesting, no team manager. Not sure how well that works. Mike is a rider that has talent and ability but just cannot find the formula to win. He said it himself, he is happy with being top five. Interesting...

he should stick to outdoors.

Mike Alessi has a great work ethic. If his autobiography was in print I would read it. I have no doubt that Tony has a great love for his children. It is a fine line when being passionate about your offspring. Good parenting is an emotional rollercoaster.

I'm pulling for your Mike, you can do it.

Mike is correct, his dad is not the team manager.

Tony is the dictator. Good luck to Mike, want him to stay healthy for outdoors. And a top 5 is a reasonable truthful goal for him. What was he supposed to say, that he thinks he can win the series? If he stays healthy and consistent every week he has a chance to be near top 5.

please mike, just dial in your starts in this sx season and ride in your comfort zone and take a 8-12th place. just stay healthy for nationals.

Sounds funny to hear him say how the JT gear 'holds up'- seeing as how he only has to wear it once.

@BMXerHS: Well Said, I'm not the biggest Alessi fan, but as long as he doesn't repeat the Ivan Tedesco debacle I don't mind seeing him do well. As a general rule I always enjoy seeing the underdog have a great race, regardless of who it is. Mike has been riding good so far, and yes, if he can stay healthy he should do good outdoor this season.

As for these interviews, I think they're good...just a short little update on some guys that you might not get to hear from on the broadcast every week. And it's good to get the guys in a (relatively) relaxed setting where they can let loose a little.

@BMXerHS: He doesnt have to do something personally to me for me to have an opinion on him. That is the tradeoff for a career like his. You are in the public eye. The type of role he has set for himself is not a good one. Do you really think he cares if someone on a blog thinks he is weird looking? I hope he does but im sure he doesnt. I just hope he takes the part about going away to heart. I must be a glutton for punishment because hearing his voice in these interviews just grinds my gears, yet I cant help but listen to him to see how clueless he sounds today. Coming back from a broken kneecap to try to win the outdoor title when RV got hurt a few years back, whose idea do you think that was? Everyone knows the situation and it hasnt changed. He is egotistical and does nothing but badtalk other riders. Saying he deserved Braytons factory ride, saying he smokes people when he doesnt even win overalls! He brings this opinion on himself.
