Good to see Trey up on two feet.
Thanks Racerx, great to see Trey looking so good already
Good interview. He looks a lot better, sounds a lot better and is in a lot better spirits than I expected especially so soon already.
Geez, he looks good for having so much damage and surgery just a few weeks ago. I have had less dramatic surgery recently and no where that good after 2 weeks. I need his Doc. I hope he gets back to 100% and can complete a full season, he's fast.
I think we have to start replacing all those Chuck Norris sayings with Trey Canards name. This kid is tough!
To hear someone so young and incredibly talented be hoping for a full recovery and hope the future allows riding at the level he's capable of is truly heartbreaking. Yes, it could have been worse and that I'm glad it wasn't. I hope he and Ryan can bounce back from this and finish out their careers. I truly wish this never happened.
He's missing a tooth too?!
What an incredible attitude! Get your groove back, Trey.
Great interview RacerX!!! Trey looks awesome for being on a backboard a short time ago. I truly hope he can finish out his career without any more issues.
These guys are going to have some aches and pains when they get older. The things we did as youngsters are haunting us older folks now and the severity was not half of what these racers have gone through!!! I wish Ryan Morais and Trey the best for a full recovery. Good luck guys!!!
This sport is blessed with a bunch of hard working tough guys like Trey. Hope you make a quick and complete recovery.
moto has the gnarliest athletes. always has and always will
Absolute fantastic to see him so well and upbeat...kid has ALOT of heart..and great faith in his recovery. Hope he makes it back to the top..his attitude and sense of humor and strong beliefs are a breath of fresh air to the sport. I wish him nothing but good luck from here on out..
nice to see DC on the "beat". What a great role model Trey is for our kids. Keep motoing my friends- Safe, fun, fast...
Awesome interview! Good luck with recovery Trey.
Trey said at the event that his goal over the last week was to be able to get to the Honda Team Day to give back to the team and to the fans. From back surgery to signing autographs in a parking lot in one week! He is an inspiration to all of us here in our cubes at Honda. Makes us proud to work for a company that makes good stuff for guys like him to race and for us to putt around with on the weekends. He, and all of the riders at the event showed why motocross is such a great sport for fans. Reed, Windham, Short, Brayton, Barcia, Tomac, Fiolek, McGrath, Baker, Craig, who'd I miss? were all right there and easy to relate to. Doesn't happen with any other sport! Sounds hokey, but it's true. All class acts and great role models!
Wow, Trey did look and sound great all things considered. I really feel for the guy and hope he makes a full recovery and can continue his career, major injury free. God knows he has had his share to this point.
I understand why he sounded somewhat cautiously optomistic. I am sure we know what he wants in his heart, he also has to be guarded as to what he says as it relates to his factory Honda contract. You do have to wonder though, is he at this point considering other options due to the amount of effort he has had to put in to recovery alone this past several years?
I am amazed to actually (see) Trey Canard up and around. Back surgery has come so far over the years. I speak from experience. That surgery a few decades ago would have him in the hospital flat on his back for 6 months with a high possibility of paralysis from nothing more than the trauma of the surgery alone. I know, because my brother had virtually the same vertebrae injury while riding and he has never ridden since, due to (post op) paralysis from the surgery. So Trey, you can thank whom ever you chose, because you are one fortunate human being to be vertical, let alone walking and joking about your new tortoise attire. I truly hope you are in store for a full and speedy recovery. You are in our thoughts and that collective energy can only aid your recovery progression. Keep the faith man...
Great to see Trey, Future Racer ? Future Trainer ? What does the future hold for this man. How many broken bones does it take to call it quits. I've had 32 , What's it gonna be Trey ?
He's still young- he'll be back- better than ever.
good interview with trey canard he looks healthy, glad he'll be back . todays sports medicine is amazing, thanks to all those involved in making miracles happen!
