He's been hitting the deck way too often and way too hard lately. What is honda thinking. They clearly dont care about their riders safety otherwise they wouldn't have had JG racing 4 months off an ACL surgery. Bam Bam might be biting off more than he can chew on a 450 riding dilla

I sure hope he doesnt race the 450 this year. Its pretty obvious the kid just isnt ready. I hope he doesnt get in the way of any of the top 3 guys battling for the title. Unless that is what Honda is hoping for, him to play blocker for Reed.
And I would absolutely kill myself on that track, it has some pretty nice big doubles there and I of course would have to try and hit them all. And I wouldnt make it of course. But I would not be able to keep myself from trying. It would just hurt afterwards.

The rest of the 450 guys aren't going to want him because he can yardsale at any time and take innocent riders out. They probably aren't going to appreciate being slammed by hiim in a corner also. If he is truly sick he can't have the physical tools necessary to ride a 450 (he's already proved that on a 250).
..........or maybe that is Honda's evil plan. Put him on a 450 and tell him to race Dungey and Villopoto.

jumping is cool and all but cornering, whoops and throttle/traction control are pretty impressive too.. lets drop the slow-mo and the music and show some continuous footage!

People are pissed cause Stewart didn't race cause "the bike wasn't ready" or whatever. People are pissed cause Barcia is "sick" but continues to race. People are pissed cause the video's are "not good enough" Pissed cause Windham went on vacation, Pissed cause the GP riders don't get enough credit from americans, pissed cause U.S. riders don't get enough credit from the Euro's.
Personally I just saw a video of some kid riding the crap out of a 450 and he looked pretty good on it. Might do good, might crash, not worried that if he races he may knock down a title contender, If that was the case, We shouldn't let 37 other guys on the track. Just have the 3 guys racing?
I know a little about Barcia and his MTF days and what kind of kid he was down there, but I don't hold that against him, I don't have to spend any time with him. I'm glad when he does good and I don't cry when he doesn't. I'm a fan of the sport.
Back in my younger days I was struggling on the 125 (crashing, over revving, act…). My Dad parked it and made me ride a 250 for six months. I was forced to adjust my riding style and when I came back to the 125 I was light years ahead of where I was before. I think Barcia riding a 450 is a great idea. He is a very talented rider who will have to respect the power of the bigger bike. His luck and performance this season requires a major change. Good luck to him. I think all of the ignorant haters on this site will be surprised!

@ Dirt Bag Dave_________ why people like u always starting stuff. I've raced against JG since we were on mini bikes. His dad and my dad are way close friends. U think i'm talking out my neck? Read every post on here about bam bam hitting the deck on a big bike. No matter which knee he had done. An ACL DOESNT' HEAL IN 4 MONTHS. i barely started riding after 9 months on mine. Let me guess, now your gonna call me another name? u probably never even raced the beginner class. or tried and got smoked

People say that the ktm 350 only works in the mx1 class. I believe its the way tony cairoli holds momentum. tell me he's not the best at just leaving the throttle pinned, just carrying momentum everywhere. watch this cool vid

organdoner RC came back from ACL surgery in 5 months and went 24-0. Not saying its the best move but for top guys like this with top Doc's its not going to take a year.

I thought RC took the whole 03 series off because of the Torn ACL? I could be wrong. But yes i have heard it confirmed that Bam bam will ride for factory honda at dilla, as well as Herlings to ride Southwick. That was a weak track but cairoli was just holding it wide open never losing momentum. I thought the only way to go faster on that "smooth track" would be to have another 100 cc's. hopefully bam bam can keep it on two wheels
I'm pretty sure i'm pointing the obvious here but I think Barcia is riding the 450 because Justin Bogle (amatuer rider) is riding for the Geico team at Unadilla or the other way around Bogle riding for Geico because they had planned on Barcia riding the 450 for a couple weeks now?
You people talk like this is the first time he has ever been on a 450. I think he rode greeat and didn't sound like he reved it as much as the 250's.

The professional athletes have much better health care than the normal guys like us. Carson Palmer from the Bengals tore up an ACL in Janruarey and was practicing football in June, and was ready for the next season in September. They have way more rigorus rehab and all. RC had surgery in December, and was racing in May. Money can do that for you.
JB has heart, style and loves riding and racing as much or more than any other guy out there. He's one of the few gnarly guys who never quits, even when he probably should. I can't understand how some of you feel ok about publicly disrespecting this guy. Real courage is tested out in the world, face to face, behind the handlebars...not behind a keyboard. It's a shame the Internet has provided a place for spineless dorks to thrive, and sad basic manners and respect for grit and hard work are lost on generation entitlement.
Honda should of gave the ride to Tommy (Two fast) Week.
smart move by honda...barcia is by far one of the funnest riders 2 watch with his style and aggresiveness....idk why all the haterz...he can be in first place or last place and all u haters will still watch him...he would smoke 99.9 percent of the people that commented....and 99.9 percent of you after the first lap would have 2 clean the crap outta ur pants after u just rolled those jumps....
Why not give him a shot...Honda needs someone might as well test the waters Canard style....some people like the power and NOT having to ring it's neck . The kid tries REALLY hard and is struggling ,so maybe a change of pace will help. A lot of the 250 riders will practice ocassionally on 450's to help them smooth out and practice carring momentum and throttle control. Dean Wilson has been riding a 450 too. Don't get your pantys all bunched up. I don't think Barcia is racing a 450 anytime soon.
BAM BAM on the big bore is throwing some nasty whips on that 450. Might be interesting to see him ride the big boy class, however, (not to bash him in any way) as I watch non factory riders beating him week in and week out, I don't think he is able to perform up to his true potential. Broken nose-mono-doesn't appear to be his year outdoors. Perhaps he should take time off to get healthy again. Oh well, he'll be back to his old self someday.
The kid looks good on 450! It should be great seeing what he can do against 'Poto, Reed and Dungey. I love reading what you clowns write about riders being a liability on the track, as if racers were supposed to be "careful" on the track. Risk taking is racing and the two by products of risk taking are winning and crashing.
Rode/parked nxt to him at Glen Helen yester & he looked extemely good. blew by tomac, baker, seeley and was doing 45min motos at waaaaarp speed.He reeled them in and passed em and hid. Musquinn and Bagget were there and stayed far away.they all looked amazing btw.Bagget was insanely quik but wish he and Bam Bam on 450 wulda diced.

it looks like Barcia is doing a good job keeping the rear wheel down in the video and he's more centered on the bike than the 250F. He was jumping over the handlebars crash or not! 200CC's gives patience. H'es still an animal!
