MORGANTOWN, W.Va.
- With the ninth round of the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship just over a week away, MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, announce that next Saturday's Rockstar Energy Unadilla National will feature an earlier start time. Opening ceremonies for the annual event in New Berlin, N.Y., will kick off an action-packed day, at 12 noon EST, with first motos scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. EST.

Highlighting next weekend's racing from Unadilla is live coverage of the opening motos of both the 450 and 250 classes on FUEL TV and AlliSports.com, beginning at 12:30 p.m. EST. Additionally, NBC Sports will present its third broadcast of the season with exclusive live final-moto coverage of the 450 Class on network television at 3 p.m. EST. SPEED rounds out what is sure to be a memorable day of competition with same-day, final-moto coverage of the 250 Class, beginning at 11:30 p.m. EST.

Currently, just nine points separate Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto, Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey, and TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing's Chad Reed atop the 450 Class standings. In the 250 Class, the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki trio of Dean Wilson, Tyla Rattray, and Blake Baggett lead the division, respectively, and are currently in the midst of compiling a perfect season for team owner Mitch Payton.

As a reminder, the on-track action next Saturday from Unadilla begins at 8:30 a.m. EST with the first of two practice sessions for each class. Following a short intermission, the opening ceremonies will generate excitement for the day's festivities at 12 noon EST. The gate drops on the Rockstar Energy Unadilla National just 30 minutes later, at 12:30 p.m. EST.

It would be nice if speed ran second moto coverage on Sunday. Then everyone who doesn't have Verizon can watch. Watching online is so poor it's not worth it!
Racing should be great. I wouldn't worry to much about Barcia he won't shift out of second gear.

NBC? GAWD that sucks.
5 minutes of racing and most likely a NASCAR interview.

NBC= No Broadcast Coverage.

If anyone from NBC is reading this, you need to tell the producers of the motocross programming that nobody, I repeat, nobody, wants to see interviews or human interest stories DURING THE ACTUAL RACING SEGMENT. {especially interviews that involve non motocross people.} Limit the interviews and other non racing segments to before and after the race. Also limit the commercial breaks during the actual race, show the bulk of them before and after the race. I guarantee your ratings will up.

If you plan on racing the amateur days at Unadilla, get ready for the new camping charge of $50 per vehicle. weekend ticket fees, racing fees and now a camping fee, yay! tv coverage!

KTM475--I hear ya brother. Everything involving going to the races has gone sky high. No we have VIP sections were they want to charge you again once you get inside the track. It isnt enough to pay a fortune to park, again to get into the race, again to get into the pits(which should be free, crooks) and now they want to charge to sit in bleachers (which were always free) and the so special VIP sections. It is turning into a money grab. All for the promoters, its sick. And the rider payout sure hasnt increased. Somebody is making a fortune. I am just about done paying for it.

an additional $39
then add in food and it makes for an expensive weekend even without paying to sit down or go into the pits. It sucks.

motocynic I totally agree. My favorite was them showing interviews on Father's Day during the last 2-laps!! Really, who cares who the winner is. That's not the point of showing it on NBC...it's just a 1 hour commercial for the Dew Action Sports Tour.
