A little surprised that a photo of the #7 YAMAHA, minus the rider, has not been posted buy one of the usual RACER-X contributing photographers.
Come on..., one of you guys must have digitally 'captured' that moment ?!
Maybe even a series of frames of the entire get-off ?!
@KG.. You have to think about how big Daytona is.. its not like you can turn around and see the other side of the track 65 yards away. And plus it was in front of the triple. A lot of people couldn't see it happen because the triple was blocking it. So with that said it would of been hard as hell to get a picture of it simply because of the jumps around the area.
Nobody captured #7 skimming over the top of the wall huh? and no crash sequence?
Nice pics!
Maybe assign a full time photographer just to follow Stewart! Get some epic riding shots and a 'Yard Sale' at any moment.... Sad, but true!
@Buzzkillington,
Not a flip comment and No disrespect intended to you at all Buzz, but I've been to Daytona and many SX & MX events over the years and I DO realize the S-I-Z-E of a place like Daytona.
If it were another rider (perhaps a back-marker), I would be less apt to expect documentation of a crash like Stewart's.
But it was after all JAMES STEWART; the rider who, whether he's in 1st or last place on the track, gets more 'face' time than the 19 other riders combined.
And like ZIP197 said, it would also be very cool to see a 'sequence' of JS7 skimming the 'Wall' ! That was remarkable.
Somewhere, someone has these pics and will sooner or later 'provide'.
If I come across any such thing (not visible here on Racer-X), I'll post a link for others to view also.
The only face time I want to see of James Stewart right now is photos of his faceplant. I guess people must be negotiating top dollar for those classic photos before they'll see the light of day.
Unfortunately that side of the track was off limits to photographers this weekend by Daytona mgmt. The vehicle shooting the tv footage along the side of the track was doing about 50mph all night up and down that side of the track.
Hey Simon, how about a few shots of the Monster Girls? PLEASE!
Thanks for the info., Simon. ... makes sense after seeing some of the banzai hand-held camera shots they were giving us on SPEED.
Have not seen the vehicle. Are they using a modified QUAD with a rig for a camera man to ride along sideways or backwards?
Enjoy your Vid & Photo work every week.
yo jailtime,,,give it a rest, dude you hammer stewart way too much with your racial banter.
Racial banter? How did you get racial banter out of that? Great pics, Simon!
You people are crazy !
they use a can-am commander, its BRP's new 1000cc side by side, pretty badass if you ask me.
that wall jump was nuts, i didnt think the lip was there for it but i guess i was wrong.
my mind is still boggled over that 1:15 lap time, poto mustve been looking ahead and scratching his head wondering how james was pulling so hard.
barciaaaa, at least someone found the time to throww downn over a jump, like the enthusiasm
cudby, you should have taken a nice side shot of that wall, so we can see how big, tall, steep, it was.
@KG, none taken, even if it was i can handle it better than some people on here haha :) and im pretty sure verb has him skimming the wall. But I was taking about the guys on the track not the fans standing right there but yeah Thanks for the info Simon. I was wondering why i never saw anyone over there ill come back with the link if verb has that picture..
well i cant find the one of him right over the wall but heres one from vital mx...http://cdn.vitalmx.com/photos/users/64/photos/44828/s1600_030511daytontarace038.jpg?1299396387

Amazing.
