I am having a hardtime being able to like Barcia. Great rider obviously, but a little ragged both on and off the track... He has that " I am too cool" attitude that most folks dont like.....A lot of the riders already dislike him from what I can tell....

Rider dont like Barcia? The only ones who doesnt are the ones who he keeps beating. My son talked to him at Red Bud for probably 30 solid minutes, no joke. He has never met my son before, they are close to the same age, my son is 17. And he was a s cool as can be, the whole time. they just B.S.ed like a couple teenage guys. No race banter or nothing. Just tlked and laughed and all. Then my son said something like, well, better let you get ready, you have to race today, then Barcia kinda realized what he had to do that day I guess. And snapped back to reality. But he is just a normal teenager. Who rides aggressive and hard. Its fun to watch. Stewie made a dumb mistake, period. No excuses, but he wont apologize or admit the misstake, its one reason he lost fans. But he lost a ton of points, but its still early in the season, misstakes will be made after this too.

Profile Picture
motocross7 wrote: 10:43am February 14, 2011

it was both stewie's and JT's fault. JT bobbled in that section and slowed down which resulted in stewie landing on him. Stewart was in his race mode in which he doesn't think to much (he's focused). Oh well. we'll see what happens this week. Go barcia! lol. yes he very agressive but it fun to watch him. Dean wilson is just a *****. face it. i was watching the "how was your weeked" on transworld and it looked like he was teary eyed.

Now what does Davey, Jason & Mattis have to say about how Great Stewart is??? Rememember guys it's a long season! Stewart is a great rider and the sport is lucky to have him. But he also is a time bomb, he makes really pour decisions and he is very lucky he is not hurt yet. Now tell me again guys how Stewart has all the momentum and somebody better stop the run away train!!!!!

Profile Picture
yzfsean wrote: 11:01am February 14, 2011

Both of the Stewarts were out of control on Saturday. Malcom took everyone wide on the first turn of the heat race becasue he came in too hot and couldn't turn his bike. Then he did the same thing on the same turn in the main and then during the race he crossed another ridrs line and took him out.
Big Stewie takes out most of the contenders at the start of the main and then lands on a rider. What a couple of self centered goons. Only thinking about themselves not caring about the other riders who are trying to make a living racing.

Profile Picture
TVD wrote: 11:08am February 14, 2011

JS made a dumb move plain and simple. JT had the line, he was ahead of JS. I mean no one out there should just pull over for JS or any of the other riders. This was very reminiscent of the incident at Unadilla with JS and RC. Yeah JS was committed to the lines in both incidents, but he was not the lead rider. You cannot commit to something that you aren’t sure is available to you. JS got up and going before CR and was coming through the pack nicely. Yeah maybe he wouldn’t have made it up to the podium but he could have definitely salvaged some points and been right there with RV points wise. If JS could have ridden patiently who knows what would have happened, he was coming through the pack a lot faster than anyone else.CR rode smart and consistent laps to make it back to sixth. Another thing that I noticed and haven’t heard any talk of yet was when RV was lapping JS. When RD lapped him he pulled right out of his way, but when RV went to pass him in the rhythm section JS cut across the track and into his line. The CBS coverage immediately returned to the front runners. Emig mentions RV making a mistake, but nothing more. I saw it took a bit for RV to get around him, but like I said CBS didn’t show it. Was this more dirty riding by JS or what? Just asking not trying to start anything

I dont think JS cut over on Villopoto and RV is my guy.....It looked like it on TV, but JS was about 5 bike lenghts in front of him and RV was already out of shape coming out of the turn, i watched it a couple times....I think JS did a great job at moving out of the way for all the riders and he didnt cross over on RV....he was nursing a damaged bike and collecting as many points as he could....Not sure why folks make little things into a big deal...

@yzsean wrote: 12:05pm February 14, 2011

YZFSEAN...since when is taking people wide in the first turn out of control? So by your logic then Josh Hansen is ALWAYS out of control because he always takes everyone wide, even lappers. Oh and Barcia and Wilson must have been out of control because I saw a lot of them taking each other wide...RV2 did his fair share of block passing...ur comment is stupid...btw does DUNGEY STILL RULE? (can't even win when 7, 22, and 2 are way back and the leader crashes...no love

Motocross/Supercross is one tough sport. My personal rules in the first turn or anywhere ilf my handlebars are in front of yours I am gonna defend my position. As I have said in other posts it is racing may the last one standing win! I have not yet saw the Houston race. I can and have felt the pain of crshing while way out front. It hurts your pride more than the pain. I will say it again it is really hard to work your way from the back of the pack to the front, yes it is even scary when the people in front of you are much slower and you have no Idea what they are gonna do. Lets Race it is not over yet. Trey now wants another win because winning is a great feeeling!!! I think we have 11 races left and a lot can happen with this talent there is.
Good luck to everyone out there on the track. This is one heck of a Supercros season and exactly what we need for the sport to grow.

He kicked ass in Bercy!!! Only for that he deserves a medal!!! Freaked out the oh so stupid french crowd... Ha,ha!
bd200... Cool he talked to your son and acted as a normal teenager... Wait till he is a couple of years older.. And way more money on his account.. And success! Let's see if he will still be as accessible as now..
I reckon Barcia will reak havoc on the track.. That's why I like him.. Ha,ha... And he too will not have to apologise... And will develop an attitude.. Ride faster to beat me.. And for the rest... up yours! Ha,ha! Go, "bam, bam" Barcia!

This isn't play riding at a trail-park that also has an mx track; this is the pinnacle of the sport. If they bang elbows, bars, or radiator shrouds it’s irrelevant. This is racing, not jeopardy. Last I checked winning is the goal and there can only one. With 19 other riders wanting the same thing there is bound to be some spilled milk.
Wilson speaks like a three year old who bit his tongue, but in his “how was your weekend” interview w/ TWMX he said he was “Barcia’s *****.” He then went on to say that he will train with Hanny to learn to ride more aggressively. Sounds like they Wilson wants to win.
The Stewart’s rode like they were the fastest one’s out there, the reality was they weren’t. JS7 is the fastest on any given race day, evident by the lap times and the numerous sections he can quad while all others triple-single. But, like any human has his limits; bad start=bad finish. However, saying you can beat him, especially when you aren’t even the fastest at your local races, is far too comical. You’re a local grommet who doesn’t even see the blue flag in the night program, know your place.

JS broke the cardinal rule , don't follow the guy in front of you in case he screws up , all these people hatin on him are just jealous of his success I love the kid he's fast and exciting to watch and great for the sport and it looks like his brother has potential as for calling him "stupid" this just goes to the intelligence of the person making the coment I really don't think a rider that has already won the supercross championship once and makes millions doing what we would all love to be doing can be all that stupid however making a comment like that about him sure make the comment maker look STUPID ! Stop being morons !

I don't get all this bashing of riders. Yea I have my favorites and riders I don't like (i.e. hansen) but I wont bash them. Last weeks races, both 250 and 450 were very entertaining. Little Stewart was a little out of control, but so was Roczen and no one bashed him. Agressive riding is fun to watch (dirty riding is not). Just my opinion.

First thing is wilson and barcia have a past from last year. In that past wilson was on the taken out list. barcia is fast but does make enemies. kid was faster no doubt that night but too much hitting could cost him a chance at a championship in the way of a broken bike or retaliation. stewart is the same guy. fast as hell but no respect for other riders. its them against the world and thats alot of people to go through. malcom is a rookie. he rode like it. that pass was clean .larson did the same thing wharton did later. hit the outside berm so hard and bounce in not thinking that the door was left wide open. canard deserves the attention fellas. not another impatient stewart.

To Didierlotsyeng, I think all those guys are great & your comment regarding them being the future couldn't be more correct. I however, think some of those guys need more time in the 250's to mature but, Roczen is a unique case. DeCoster wants results in SX and Roczen could be the next "Bradshaw" to blow up the scene. I would prefer he stay in 250's for 3 more years to mature and collect some titles for KTM and establish the brand in SX. Barcia has already done some 250 SX so, if he wins 250E championship, defend title or switch coasts and then move up. After his injury, I would keep Musquin in 250's for 3 yrs as well (I know it sounds like blasphemy leaving a 2-time world champ in the regionals for so long but, this is SX, not MX).

Has anyone else noticed that all the comment sections on racer x and even transworld are just a bunch of faggy ass people talking crap about other riders and speculating on what they think is going on when really it doesnt matter....i mean come on no one posting on this website has the right to talk crap about any rider and say someone sucks are what ever..until you can stand toe to toe with any ama pro and beat him in a race then you cant talk shit, i mean shit i'm starting to think that race fans are getting as bad as fans of pop stars and movie stars....maybe thats what come when people who dont know shit about riding or have never REALLY rode a bike become fans of the sport....so if you dont have anything relavent to say then dont post on here....this is really about the sport of supercross not about how doenst like who or who you think is an asshole it dont really matter cuz at the end of the season theres only one winner and that sure as shit isnt going to be any one the of the dumb asses posting on racerx and that real

Carlsbad .. Makes sense... I also believe putting on the laps on the lites series helps to prepare a rider optimally...
But man... For a fan.. I can not wait to see them ride in the big class...
Roczen is very, very young... And with DeCoster's guidance.. He will do fine.
Barcia.. Would be a smart move to go to the west coast and win it in 2012 before jumping on the 450 in 2013... He would at least euql JS's record in the lites class...
Musquin.. He will have to learn at least 2 yrs in SX.. But you know the french... Might be impatient.. Ha,ha

Barcia is a rough rider, but I dont see him as dirty. But sometimes he could probably make a pass clean and he will rub a guy sometimes. But man, is he fun to watch. just hope he doesnt get hurt being that way. Roczen is a young guy, I just hope that he doesnt get moved along too fast. this kid has a very bright future, and lets hope he doesnt get thrown to the lions too quickly. Move him slowly. the future looks good with guys like him, Barcia, Tomac, and Trttle, he looked pretty decent for his first pro race too.

bd200.. Spot on!! Future looks great! I reckon with DeCoster and KTM's plans long term.. Roczen will not be moved too quickly.. Only concern.. He has a tendency to over do it.. For now.. He seems to be spared from major injuries..
Barcia is a crowd pleaser.. Ha,ha.. Great to watch! Someone to watch is Baggett as well.. Somehow Kawa seems to be good on discovering young and up and coming riders!!

With Roczen, Musquin and soon Herlings, KTM is STACKED for 250 MX in the U.S. These guys are no joke and with KTMs position in M.X.G.P. it's very possible this trend of bringing over top G.P. talent will continue. I think that this program will bear fruit for KTM in the U.S. but, they must remain patient in 450 SX. Short is a podium finisher in MX & Alessi can be a contender outdoors. It's important someone at KTM realize they need the 450 outdoors and be prepared with at least one for #800 because in hindsight, he (and they by extension) would have been better served riding the 450. It will come eventually, they have a focused company (motorcycles are their main product), Red Bull's deep pockets, DeCoster running the show in U.S. and phenomonal talent. All ingredients for success.

Didierlotsyeng wrote: 11:18am February 15, 2011

Carlsbad.. Makes sense.. KTM having at least 1x 450 in the MX season.. But.. Sadly there is a but.. KTM seems bent on the 350... IN the GP scene for the last 2 years, the machine has been performing more than adequate.. Of course.. KTM made sure they hired the biggest talents.. Paying them very good salaries.. Even in the enduro series.. They have convinced Knight (David) to ride the 350...
Unless they (KTM) flop big times with the 350.. The 450 will make it's appearance...
But for now.. KTM believes that the 350 is the way to go.. A ike nearly as light as a 250... And with the powerband similar to a 450... Or coming close...
And.. KTM has invested heavily in the 350.. Hiring a Everts for the big bucks to help develop the bike...
I would not be surprised, in the near future.. KTM will hire more talent.. For now.. Shorts is doing an excellent job.. Allessi.. Am waiting how he will do in the outdoors.
And honestly... Even from the production point of view.. Rode the 350 at one of the open days KTM held... I like it...
