Your Collection: 1976 World Championship
Sunday, January 9, 2011 | 9:00 AMThis week's collection comes from Jason McCormick:
"I think I have some good items for you and I will start will a gem.
It is a book that was given to me from a family friend after the 1976 Carlsbad USGP that contains every item written on the event. I guess the sponsor, Hang Ten, would make them for media reasons and it would be cool if companies still would do this today.
The photos attached here are all form the book and include;
1. The Official Program from the event
2. A ticket, Parking Pass, & Ticket Exchange Card from the event
3. An issue of Cycling Oct 1976 magazine that had a large article on the event
4. The cover of the Hang Ten Book
It is crazy the amount of info that was collected back then by Hang Ten and is in this book. Every single Press Clip, Press Release, Contest for Race Tickets, and more are in this book.
I totally forgot I had this book till I found it in a box a few years ago."

Not sure if this is the same Jason McCormick from WA? Would be interesting to do a 'Where are they Now?" article on him. Being from the Pac-NW I'm curious as to what happened to him and where he's at now? Or even an article on Rick Burgett, Chuck or Ron Sun? I'm gonna have to dig thru my collection...i think I've got some 80's postcard type Team Honda photos. Hope everyone enjoyed A1.
Saw Rick Burgett and Chuck Sun last July at Washougal. Vintage day before Natl. Both looked good, doing well.
Jammer!
