I thought it was cool thet the top 4 in the SX class were on different Mfgr's bikes followed in 5th by a privateer (so called privateer). Not so much in the Lites class, Mitch sure knows how to pick riders. Hansen, great ride, I wrote him off as a "Has Been" 5 years ago, wait 4 years ago, or was it 3, well every year. Good to see he might have his $hit together and live up to his talent.

Congrats to Hansen, but lets be serious. The West Lites is totally "deluted" this year. With Poucel, Weimer and Canard up this year and Wilson, Barcia and Wharton in the East...Hansen should win. No disrspect to Rattray or Tickle, but seriously, not exactly "fill the house" SX names. That's why they shouldn't "split" the two coast. The East will dominate Vegas...though Hansen will be in the mix too. Big Congrats to the 450 Class. Great rides by Villopotto, Dungey, Stewart, Reed and Canard. They should be the top 5 all year. Tedesco look great too until he got tight. Love the "rough" stuff he applied to Stewart too (awesome). Go Big Boys next Week in Houston.

DUNGEY RULES

A PC sweep of the 250 class......sorry Mitch, boring. I'm (pleasantly)suprised Rattray got on the box, good for him. I think vetracer19 got it right, the east will be the fireworks of the series. So, the 350 experiment is a failure? Short & Alessi are pretty "vanilla" SX riders and it's only one race but, I expected more. Alessi started VERY well, not his customary holeshot but, very good. Short started pretty good as well. Allready been said but, KTM, please don't mothball the 450's. While I'm at it, where's that frenchy on the 2-stroke? Line him up!!!!

IT WAS PLAIN TO SEE............IF YOU WERE AT THE RACES, POTO AND DUNGEY'S LAP TIMES WERE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BUBBA'S LAP TIMES. IT HAS TO BE HARD WINNING................KNOWING YOU WERE NEVER THE FASTEST'S ON THE TRACK ALL NIGHT....................SUCKS HUH.

Dang look at the 450 class! Almost every guy in the top 20 is a top rider in the sport!

"Fan of the Sport" Steward did well but he lost, not only did he not win he didn't get second.. Motocross is about racing and if you only have speed and you can not get starts then you will always be around 1, 2, 3, 4 at the finish, Hard to dominate in SX starting in the back of the pack (Even for Stewart). To win at anytime is great in this sport and if Villo can keep it in the top 3 all year then we will have one hell of a championship fight and that is what I think all fans want..

MX for life, JS needs a better start, RD and RV need more speed. Witch is harder to get??

Profile Picture
GWN wrote: 2:53pm January 10, 2011

They don't give out trophies for the fastest lap time or best results before injury. JS7 has certainly secured his nomination for Bret Micheals 'Hard Charger Award" though. If you look at the lap times JS7 was not consistantly faster either,he only ran one 58 sec lap, so did Dungy and Villi had two. JS only had 6 of the fastest laps, Dungey 4 and Villi 9. http://209.169.8.8/pdfresults/sx/data/2011/01/sxm1ind.pdf It will be a good season.

Nor does the first race dectate the rest of the season. Anyone remember Hangtown?

Profile Picture
bd200 wrote: 6:15pm January 10, 2011

Maybe they can take a lesson from Canard, istead of "every moto counts" it could be "EVERY LAP COUNTS" The fastest lap time means nothing if its only one lap. RV said himself when there were only 5 laps left, he backed it down because he knew he had it. Smart man!!! We will see at least 3 different winners this year anyway. Stewie will get his for sure. So all the Stewie fans making excuses be patient, it will happen.

Jake wrote: 6:45pm January 10, 2011

It doesnt matter if you lead all 20 laps, and then lose it in the last corner, you still lost.. You just need to be there at the end.. RV is looking so good for a title run this season.. Hope he can stay healthy. PS. I think Canard is gonna come out with a W this season.. Just my prediction.

Mitch Payton has to hire 27 year old Hansen and 26 year old Rattray to win against the 16 year olds in the lites class. Hanson could'nt even make a main in the 450's. Pro Circuit are a joke with a bunch of punks too afraid of the 450's, so they race the teenagers because they can't cut it in the mans class. Hansen the wanne be rock star.

bd200 wrote: 10:43am January 11, 2011

How can everyone start at the same time, and the guy who gets to the finish line first not be the fastest?? That makes no sense and is impossible. At the end of the race, RV's 20 laps were faster than everyones there. So he was the fastest.

So happy supercross started! definetly, going to be a great and, interesting season! Although, pretty disappointed in the TV coverage... once again.. cameras on Stewart. Would liked to have seen Reed on his Honda or, Mety on the new Suzuki or, shoot call me crazy, but, how about the damn leader winning the frickin race!!!!! And this is the reason I stopped watching Golf. Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods!
