John Tomac is a retired professional cyclist who competed in multiple disciplines in road racing and mountain biking during a successful career that spanned twenty years. He is regarded as a mountain biking icon and was inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 1991. He is a true all-rounder, having won major national and international titles in four disciplines and currently has his own line of Mountain Bikes, Tomac Bikes. His son Eli just turned 15 and is regarded by many as the next big thing in motocross. This father son team has been training and riding together since Eli was a little kid and continue to do so with great success. We called John and Eli at their home in Colorado to talk shop and hear first hand how one of the best mountain bikers in the world trains his riders for motocross. Oh yeah, did I mention he also trains Ben Townley!
