Yamaha Releases 2014 ModelsTuesday, June 11, 2013 | 9:50 PM
Cypress, CA – Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. is proud to introduce the all-new 2014 YZ450F and YZ250F.
Yamaha has led the modern motocross bike movement, beginning with the YZ400F in 1998 and continuing in 2001 with the YZ250F. Not content with that, the needle was moved again with the introduction of the revolutionary 2010 YZ450F, with its unique rearward-slanted engine design and “swapped” intake and exhaust layout. Still, Yamaha is not a company to rest on past achievements.
For 2014, the YZ450F is all new from the ground up, using the previous award-winning engine layout and then taking it to a whole new level with an all-new engine, chassis, suspension, unmatched mass centralization and look that will define the next generation of motocross bikes.
The 2014 YZ450F was designed with the racer in mind. Enormous power on tap whenever and wherever you need it, but still with the control required to put in smooth, fast laps, and KYB SSS suspension that encourages you to go faster and hit bumps harder, all in pursuit of beating your competition. Not to mention the world-renowned durability that is second to none, insuring that you will be out at the track week in and week out.
What’s even better than an all-new YZ450F, how about an all-new YZ250F to go along with it.
For 2014, the YZ250F is all-new, with Yamaha engineers taking everything they’ve learned along the way to create an all-new engine, chassis, suspension, unmatched mass centralization and look that, along with the YZ450F, will define the next generation of motocross bikes.
The 2014 YZ250F begins with fuel injection at the heart of an all-new rearward slanted engine with the same unique front intake and rear exhaust layout that has been so successful on the YZ450F. Combined with a 4-valve head design, the engine puts out plenty of mid to top end power to get you the holeshot. A new frame, along with class-leading KYB SSS suspension make sure the YZ250F carves every corner and absorbs every bump and rut thrown at it.
Both the 2014 YZ450F and YZ250F will be supported with a full line of GYTR and Genuine Yamaha Parts and Accessories, including the game-changing GYTR Power Tuner, to give you exactly the power and look you want while you’re out on the track.
The 2014 YZ450F is available in Blue or White/Red for $8,490 and is available the end of June. The 2014 YZ250F is available in Blue or White/Red for $7,490 and will be available in October.
