Last year we saw a abundance of injuries in the 450 sx class, this year the 250sx class seems to be hardest hit....
Good old 'copy and paste' jobby for Blake Baggett every week!
I really wish Durham and Bogle were racing SX right now. Oh well hope they both line up at Hangtown...
@BD25
With all due respect to every competitor, most of the name 250 east guys (except Audette) were hurt before the SX season began.
Man I kinda feel bad for Izzi, with careers that end in your late twenties if your lucky, bad decisions are a killer.
JimM
Short racing with a broken finger when some guys can't / won't.
JimM
In a Dirt shark video last week Blake said that he wouldn't be racing until the outdoors.
He said he could barely move his wrist back as of right now. So Hangtown is when he will come back.
This might be a sensitive subject but does anyone else think that guys like Wey just need to give it up?
It's time for Wey and Bryne to hang it up. Stick to selling Michigan mafia
moto wear and let it go. Durham's to much of a head case, even if he's healthy.
Hmmm, I thought a broke finger was a season ending injury? Interesting.
When you are givin a chance and you are at the tail end of your career, your back is against the wall !!! You have to ride and hope that something positive comes from it ..ie, A-Short
Bummer about Bogle, A-Mart, Byrne, Izzi, and Durham. Sounds like their injuries are healing slower than expected.
Tough crowd here today, calling for retirements. I respect every one of these guys for trying to keep their careers going despite injury.
Its called having the testicular fortitude to not drop out because you can't win. Shorty is a tough dude! Nothing but respect for the guy.
So what if Wey and Byrne don't have the speed they used to? They're out there for the love of the sport! If anything, I wish that every rider had the kind of passion those two do.
I'm getting kind of tired of these teams saying their riders are going to be healthy by a certain date, and then keep pushing that date back. Yes, I realize that every injury is different so you can't put an exact timetable on anything, but when they push the date back week after week it's pretty obvious that the team/rider had no intention of returning by the original date they set.
Jimbo Yes, many were hurt before the season started, but still, the 250sx class has been hit hardest... so far...knock on wood, we don't need any more riders hurt..The Good side is, it sounds like most all of them will be back when the Great Outdoors gets under way, which will make the best racing even better!!!
What happened to Joey Peters. That sounds nasty.
injury report " if you aint crashin you aint goin fast enough " - Franz Klammer
How can anyone call for the retirement of a rider that makes mains consistantly week in and week out?!! Who ever does probably doesn't know the in and outs of this sport! Wey is a consistant main event participant and Short is a top ten rider still capable of winning. Correct me if i'm wrong but that puts these two riders in the top 20 or 40 (depending on the event sxor mx) riders in the country! These results are not a fluke, they are actual results! If you've been to a national or supercross you should know how many guys can't even make the program! Wey and Shortstill have plenty of fight in them and should only retire when they have lost the desire to compete! Keep on going you guys, the road may be a little rough at times but you are still at the top of our sport!!
Broken finger and all, Short finishes 7th-9th. Tough guy.
