Must be a Villopoto arrow....at about 50 seconds it triples on the red light :)
I'm sure Dirt Wurx will find something to change after the first timed practice session. Looks like it could be good though! Hoping for a good race. It will be interesting to see if the sand section becomes one lined or not..
Lets hope they keep the long sand section, and the wall.. I cant wait for Saturday.. I have been going to this race since back in the '90's, and they are finally having a pit party too.. Very cool track, lets hope the dirt is as good as it was in St. Louis..
@kx408 ,,, hahahaha...
ok, so did anyone notice that there is only 1 bowl 180 turn the rest are flat or only 90's? So out of this whole thing basically only one spot to pass in a turn.
The sand section is great even with the 180 in it. There will only be one line through the sand section after about the 2nd lap of practice.
So if you don't get a good start..............yep another one of them races..........can't outdoors get here soon enough.
@kx408 quote of the week
Almost missed the off camber 180 at the endo fo the whoop section, that ought to be great for passing.
Looks tight. I predict there will be zero passes in the entire main.
Let's get RC to design all the SX venue tracks. At least he has some idea of what type of course it takes to generate some passing...
That sand section will get one lined and the rest of the track will be hard to pass on. Better hope for a good start, just like every other race, it will mean everything. Cause where you start in the top 7 might just be where you stay for the whole race.
I will predict that quite a few guys lose there front end in that sand area though, which could mix it up.
"We are not in Daytona anymore, its back to the 50 sec lap times! Yippee" says every rider not named Ryan....
Maybe with all that sand we will see some G.P. guy come over and show us whats up! LOL
Outlaw53,, Designing Daytona and a SX track in a stadium with rock hard dirt are two different things..
Ya. And RC never raced in a stadium or on rock hard tracks. Whatever.
Not bad considering this is suppose to be a track for the worlds best still need to step it up for the track designers
Let's not counts laps until after the 20 minute mark then count 2 laps more. That extra 6.5 minutes equals a litter over 1/3 of the average race length this season.
Racer X let's get a write up and some imput from the fans.
AMA/FIM LISTEN TO THE FANS.
@mit12... Great idea !!! AMA should do it... Lites should go 15 minutes plus 2 ... 450 go 20 minutes plus 2.....fans watch lites riders do a 5 minute heat and a 12 minute main for about 60 bucks a ticket... Night ends around 930 now too way too short
@yamyblues--Plus they got rid of the Semi's for the 450 class a few years back.. Two more races we lost, ticket prices continue to rise, and we lose racing.. The 250 class race is around 8 or 10 minutes, the 450's around 12-15 minutes.. I have Indy tickets and the 4 of them cost a small fortune.. plus pit passes now also.. Would love to see 15 minutes plus two for 250's, and 20 minutes plus 2 for the 450's.. but it wont happen, all in the name of more money because of TV packages.. but at least we get to watch them live on TV.. If that is the tradeoff, I will take live tv for the races I cant visit in person..
When is the freakin over and under bridge !
Gotta admit, the way the Daytona animation showed an 18 whoop section - yet the real track only had 9....leaves me highly uninterested in ANY future animations. Doesn't care about animations anymore.
