Can you imagine how fast a Zulu warrior could go through a set of whoops on a 450? The guy would never get tired in the heat. Florida humidity would be a joke. I am not a racist, but it would be incredible to see a 6-9 Black South African Motocross Champion.

Come on! Somebody on that continent needs to back one of these guys from a young age. On the other hand; nobody makes riding gear that would fit him past the age of 12, so maybe this isn't a good idea after all...

So where is KTM's Ryan D"Angely? And why isnt he already racing here in the US. I have realized Yamaha and KTM sponsor guys in Africa that we never even heard of.

@Foundwood. You'd be amazed at the size of the averge zulu male. They are quite small people and usually very slightly built. Very seldom will you see one over 6 foot with them averaging out at around 5-7, and the Xhosa tribe are even smaller.
Funny how false perceptions are created.

Jimbo64. Not wanting to be otherwise here, but why on earth would you be proud of being a South Africanß A bit of research on your country reveals the fact it is the murder and rape capital of the world, where a woman has a 50% chance of being raped in her lifetime. Hell, even the president was charged with rape, until a bit of cash was transfered and the charges dropped.
Your communist government and it's police force are considered one of the most corrupt in the world, with over 1000 people dying in detention last year alone.
You are proud of this? Am I missing something here?

Euromike is right! People need to research and or use facts instead of assuming. Most of the Black South Africans are descended from the Bush Man, who are very smallish stature. That being said there are a lot of mixes probably as much as in the States, if not more of different ethnicities!

@Pippidekok judging by your ignorance im assuming ur American? You have no idea what you are talking about, how about next time you offer your opinion on a certain country, you make an effort to actually go to the place and experience it for yourself instead of just listening to the media. If i offered my opinion on america based on what i hear from the media i would think everyone is fat and stupid or i might get shot by a man dressed as the joker at a batman movie. Almost every article i have read about my country is so inaccurate its actually quite ridiculous. South Africa is the most beautiful country, beautiful beaches, beautiful women, awesomest people, and just overall a great place to be. Anyway i gtg now, hope i don't get raped or shot on my way to work.

@seveneight. I lived in South Africa for 22 years and watched it slide down the crapper, from a 1st world paradise to a 3rd world hell hole. Anyhow, read this, then go and edit it if it's wrong, and put it right. I think you are living in denial.

@pippidekok,

I assume you supported the Apartheid regime then? The majority who voted against it and free elections knew long in advance that what has happened since to the country was bound to happen. Yet we stuck to our guns brought about change, without falling into civil war, unlike the United States for example. It was the ULTIMATE example of a society examining itself and relinquishing power voluntarily, knowing that that paradise you refer to, would no longer exist...at least in the form it was up until that point. But that the people still went ahead with it, and have (mostly) stuck around to face all these issues uve mentioned, shows just how much pride we South Africans have in our country. Your comments are cheap, regardless of where uve lived or where u are from, and u sound spineless. Respect those who cherish their land u narrow minded pr!ck!

@Langston_fan. You mean it was the ultimate example of a cowardly nation capitulating to communist rule. Forget the black/white shit. That was the weapon the leftie backed media used to defeat the Nationalist government. Truth is, the blacks are far worse off today than they were 20 years ago, a fact blacks who lived through apartheid have no problem agreeing with.
Everything has deteriorated, medical services, education, economy, the infrastructure, law and order, you name it. There were so many viable options open to a far better deal than the one the SA government sadly agreed to. You were sold out brother. I know it burns your ass, but that's life.
Fortunately, as a free man, I had the choice to move elsewhere. I chose the glorious US of A, land of the free and home of the brave. Am I sorry? Hell no. Best thing I ever did. And if you consider me a coward for leaving, then you level that same insult at every American, because this country was founded by people who left their homes to seek a better future. Now suck it up and stop crying, you sad little dickhead.

Yeah...and I can tell where you settled..Alabama right? Hindsight is always 20/20 mate, but you seem to think they had a choice the moment FREE elections were allowed (where pure statistics meant the Nationalist party didn't stand a chance against the ANC). Democracy is not flawless, but it is still the better option than any system where a select few think they can speak for the best interest of the many. Talking posteriori about decisions is like saying if I were healthier and had more supportive parents, I'de be AMA supercross champ right now. Useless unrealistic thinking. Did it occur to you that ure totally contradicting yourself? What you imply as far as the options the country had at the time of transition, is border line german thinking of the 30s. Half of my family left too, except they were chased out to the states because they were too vocal against the Nationalist Party (in what would ipitomise the land of the free USA.) Those that could get out, got out, those that wanted to stay...stayed, those that didn't have the choice (the majority i imagine), are making the most of it. I got out too...but I still say Im a proud South African. As I said before, you sound like a spineless little pr!ck!! The mere fact they let you into the states only re-emphasises my point that democracy is not perfect!

@pippidekok you obviously havnt been back to SA in a very long time because it is so obvious that you have no idea whats going on here. You say the infrastructure has deteriorated? Wow you could not be more wrong, they recently completed the most amazing highway system in Pretoria/joburg. 6 lanes taking you almost anywhere you want to go, tollgates which you dont have to stop for its just a big frame spanning across the road scanning your number plate, we have built an efficient train system which is partly underground and takes you from A to B at 160km/h (yes thats the metric system because we are not retarded) Cape town and Joburg just built beautiful bus stations which have dedicated bus lanes leading to and from them and the busses taking you there are beautiful brand new MB busses. We have some of the best doctors in the world, excellent hospitals (private) america's public health system is bankrupt by the way. We have I would say definitely the best schools in the world because students still have respect for their teachers and although thats not all schools the ones I have in mind right now are GOVERNMENT schools. As for the crime, yes the crime rate is high but dont be ridiculous about ur 50% rape stat, if you go walk around in sandton, camps bay, clifton places like that you are not gonna get raped, but if you go walk around in soweto then yes the odds r bigger, and the same goes for murders, if u go walk around in los angeles throwing up blood signs in a crip neighborhood you most probably gonna get shot, its all about where u are!!!!! Every country has its problems man get over this South Africa is going down bandwagon. In america u hear about a psychopath going around just shooting people randomly, that has happened way more than once!!! And people on drugs eating other people. You dont find that shit in south africa. By the way my girlfriend is from germany and has lived there her whole life as well as traveling in Europe and when i brought her to South Africa she was shocked at how close it is to being a first world country!!!!!

Wow, guys/girls, chill. :) It is bad, yes, but bad is everywhere. You all have valid points on your arguments, now let's get along. I lived in Swaziland for 6 years as a youngster, I still miss it, I was actually driving through from Ridgecrest CA to LA on the 395, remined me of the drive from Manzini to Mbabane!! I went through a place called Johannesberg...in Cali!! The fact is with today's technology at our finger tips, there should be no, reason for ignorance and or here say, get online and research, it is that quick. Most of us are well travelled now and I get the chance through my military career to travel around the world, no more stereotypes as most are debunked!! Now let's get along, Hoorah?

By the way, loving how the MX scene has gotten huge down in SA!! I remember back in the day, it was very grass roots, now the tracks are looking more AMA/FIM like :) The world has become a small place and lots of people are moving everywhere, I have bumped into lots of South African Doctors in Canada, at motocross tracks, at Airports(as the accent is very prominent), even at a DFAC in Kandahar, boy where they surprised that a guy in Uniform asked them a Braai, LOL!! I sat there listening to them before I piped up! They were dumb founded, but they were like "how do you know about Braai?"

@langston_fan. I had my say and I stand by what I said.

@SevenEight. I hope you pointed out to your girlfriend that 30 years ago it was a 1st world country. BTW I'm glad you added private after praising the hospitals. As only about 10% of the population can afford private medical insurance, it's pretty irrelevant. The rest of your post about education etc is BS as well. But dream on dude, dream on.

How about we interupt this political argument and talk about the video.
The video's great.
The soundtrack is degraded yelling.
What do Motocross and degraded yelling have in common?
Nothing at all.
