In 5th place overall on the Monster Energy Supercross circuit, Chad Reed is looking for answers on how to get his front end feel dialed in in advance of St. Louis. The main goal in this practice is to fine tune his front suspension and feel out the kinks of his air fork versus the spring fork. Check out this incredible riding action and see how Chad's re-upped suspension performs this weekend in St. Louis!

Im a big CR 22 fan. But I have noticed this year Chad doesnt look like himself on his bike.. He is missing that unique style he has always had, His body position and posture is not what is used to be.
If you took his numbers off his bike you cant tell its him anymore.. He always had this unique ridding style that you could spot anywhere on the track.. Something is way off with his bike or himself.. I think he really doesnt like this new Honda and its not just the forks to blame.
I sure hope he gets things figured out soon...
Chad is washed up, done. Pack your bags n head on down south. I bet you he doesn't even race or for him ride the Nationals.
@Sheik_Racing,, I think Reed can be a baby sometimes,, but dude,, show a little respect.. He's out there risking his life for our entertainment... That takes pretty big grapes in my opinion...
@ sheik shit whole your probably the douch neighbor that causes all the problems.. If you were mine I would finish you off MX STYLE!! LOL >>>>>>
@mxmoto1 - I'll agree with you....show some respect! Even those poor souls sqandering through the LCQ could dust off the average rider easily...and us regular guys aren't riding tracks prepped for national caliber riders. Go ride a track after a national event ( SX or MX ). I doubt many of you could cut a lap time within a minute of the average. I've done it...
That was a good little clip, I didn't hear any whining that's for sure, just a good explanation. He just looks too off this year for it to be all the rider and say he's washed up, and I agree that he has lost some of that signature Reed style he's always had. All those guys have different preferences and styles so what works for one guy won't necessarily work for the others. If other top riders are given the benefit of the doubt when they say they have bike issues, I don't see why Reed should be an exception.
Reed and Canard will be on the box this weekend!
Its funny to read some of the really dumb comments here. I think people need to respect the riders, specially riders like Chad Reed that are always racing for the win and are not happy with a top ten. the problem this season is that everyone else has stepped up their game so now you don't have just two guys that can win, this year there is at least 6 riders that can win on any given night, nobody has really dominated like in years past. AND THAT IS GREAT FOR US, THE FANS...
I think air forks are a very bad idea and full of hot air!
I think the reason why chad is having such a hard time with the air forks is because of the weight. The air forks are almost 2 pounds lighter. So that is making the front end feel to light for him. So he is probably feeling like the front end doesn't have any bite. Some riders will ride anything you give them but look at their results.
1st off congrats to JS7 for finally getting the top spot. 2nd I love to see all you wannabees that sit at a computer and type crap like Chad's washed up. Get off your ass and try and keep up with him. I bet in a 5 lap race he would lap 95% of you dumbass's. I think this piece just shows how hard it is to stay on top and for Chad to be struggling albeit the bike or himself and still be in 5th with the field so stacked is amazing. I know CR22 is going to find his rhythm again, although he may not win the title I will watch and root for him as long as he's on the track. I would love to hang out at the track with him for one day just to watch his talent on a bike and sit down and listen to him as he could teach this 47 year old a ton of new stuff. I'm a huge fan of anything motorcycle and I love how this years field is filled with past champions and rookies capable of a win and it's not a 17 race sweep of one rider. This is a great time to be a fan. Keep up the hard work CR22 and I look forward to hearing you quite these wannabees.
Yeah I agree. Saying Chad is "washed up" is certainly a stretch considering where he is in points. And like everyone else I too love seeing a stacked field. I'm also a big CR22 fan and I can't wait til he gets another win and/or podium. It was also cool seeing JS7 get that win too. C'mon old man Reed, lets go!
"Get off your ass and try and keep up with him. I bet in a 5 lap race he would lap 95% of you dumbass's." Another immature statement. I get so tired of these comments like this.
mxmofo1 I thought I was being nice the way I said my comments. I just hear to much whining, and not enough throttle turning. Is it the air folks or heart?
The forks are filled with nitrogen not air.... @fos41
My way to what? Unhappiness? lol He keeps talking about not having a good feel. Maybe he should deal with it like everyone else has and admit he's not going to be on the podium. Next he'll be claiming air forks forced him to retire.
"My way" because no one else will work with him.
@SuperSXFanMan/StarPlaya-----Guess you are wrong AGAIN... Reed is on the podium hater....You are not a Reed fan and most Stewtards arent...so just dont comment on Reed--maybe you dont know "what makes him tick"....
