JAB Motorsports' Gannon Audette suffered a fractured pelvis and clavicle after a crash in practice in Dallas on Saturday. Audette tweeted the following last night:
Just sitting in the hospital I have a fractured pelvis and a fractured clavical thanks everyone for your support.
This is the second time in as many years Audette, who missed all of supercross a year ago after breaking his wrist in Dallas, has suffered an injury at the opening round of the 250SX East Region. There is currently no timetable on his return. We will continue to update this developing story.

i cant help but wonder whether 4 strokes have helped to turn supercross into a blood sport that mangles teenagers now. i thought bell was dead or paralyzed last night. its only by some miracle that he isnt
i cant recall or imagine the 125 class ever having been so dangerous
@ spotted I know that bridge !
He aint no AC92 LOL!
So your saying AC92 never crashes? Dumb@$$
@ Spotted...
Remember a guy named Robbie Reynard? I think he wrote the book on 125cc crashes. But I do understand what your saying.
Hey Glock. You live around the Loch Raven/Timonium area? You know I've actually ridden dirbikes all through that same area in the picture.. and all over Loch Raven. If you know the area you might rememeber C0ckeysville Cycle on Beaver Dam rd. I used to be good friends with the owner, Rick, he died racing at Dublin Gap a few years back. I'm in Florida these days but man do I sure miss Maryland sometimes, mostly for the riding. At one point I raced or at least rode at Budds about once a month for about a year. That was a good year
Too bad about Gannon, feel bad for him. I think some guy that went by the name of Evel Knevil wrote the book on crashes! But hey we haver been crashing on all of the bikes since the begining of motorcycles. I have crashed just as hard/bad on a 125 250 and the 500cc 2 strokes. Never crashed 4 stroke MX bike though, maybe cause I never raced one? I do think we were able to make some saves though on the 2-strokes because of the faster throttle response.
@welker i don't mean to suggest that crashes dont happen on 125s. crashes are part of the sport. i just mean that 450s are putting out the ponies that 500cc 2 strokes used to put out (and we got rid of them because of it) and 250s are putting out the power of 250 2-strokes .. rookies in the 250 class now are scrubbing 80-foot tripples and quading sections and, occasionally, wadding themselves up at much higher velocities than were ever possible before, there is no entry-class in our sport now. Now we send our 16 year old rookies right into the 250 class.. and graduate them to the 500 class.. 125s were the right size for the class
SpottedMarley is spot-on. Twice.
All for the return of the pre-mixer,ain't gonna happen though
A rider looks at the obsticals during a track walk and practice. All riders know their limits and what risks they are willing to take. In saying that the current easy tracks are more dangerous to the riders just out side the top five because the obsticales are at the limit of their comfort zone. as long as nothing goes wrong they can make it, one little hiccup and they crash. Make the tracks more diffulcult beyond reach for the lesser riders and more geared toward the top five.
the second time in as many years? i'm a little confused on that. bummer to hear the bad news! hope u have a speedy recovery!
