Look out dunge!
Here we go again. last time he tried he was not in shape lets hope he is this time other wise he will just be in the way or taking a spot on the line and doing 2 laps.
He's interesting even if he's out of shape it will be fun to see if he can stick with it. You don't loose talent
Last ditch effort for Utopia to stay a float?
I had thought I read/heard somewhere that Utopia wasnt doing so well, that is what prompted my comment.....I could be wrong
I won't be buying any Utopia products.
They are making a comeback with a line with stripes and optional muzzle.
Hey, that would be funny if at his first race he wears gear with black and white stripes. Would get him some camera time.
Oooh wow...hmmmm? That's "interesting". I wonder if he will race this wekend? Anybody know???? Can't imagine all the funk he will stir up, if (and that's a BIG IF) he runs front of pack. We shall see. Wonder if he's been training between bong hits???
Um really? "J-Law is one of the most naturally talented riders of all time"?????
@motod6
Have you ever seen him ride? Do you know what naturally talented means? Yes he is one of the most naturally talented riders ever. Bad decisions/stupid decisions/bonehead decision have nothing to do with the way the kid can ride. And the way he rides it just come "natural". Good luck to jlaw.
You never see anyone comment on articles or press releases in this section of RacerX. This one will blow up for sure!
J-Law won't make it into the night show with the depth in this field.
I would say it would take him a couple of stabs at it before he could transfer out of a heat. You don't just show up and run the pace at this level.
Calm down everyone . . . it's a goggle deal. That doesn't put him on the gate at Hangtown. He's trying to put a ride together; but getting a goggle sponsor is a far cry from getting a ride. With all of the talented riders that are currently racing, I don't see any team signing him up for the summer. Hold the comments until there is a press release stating that he has signed with a race team . . . probably won't happen.
@Willmx114
Relax! Don't get your skirt all twisted. I agree that he's natually talented. Calling him "one of the most naturally talented riders of all time" is a bit precocious. There's a long list of natually gifted riders in front of him.
^^ Ha, I must have something against "r". What the heck is natually
Go J-Law!!! Lawrence of Jersey is back!
The Real 338, The East Coast Champ
I wish the best to J-Law as a person, and as a rider. If he pulls it together, the sport is better and the world is less one foul-up. To err is human... I don't know about "most talented", but he's certainly got plenty to get him there. If he wants it bad enough to do the work. If.
Somehow the guys that lack discipline and flame out always have "natural talent" while successful hard working guys like RC don't. What a load of crap. It takes talent and hard work to be successful.
my panties were all bunched up for a minute, I would put him at the top of naturally talented riders but its whatevs. opinions are like @$$ hole$.
@ryanwagapoto He is not racing any supercross. He's racing outdoors. He has been riding a lot with Hansen.
Beside JLaw is just wasted space and he'll be a moto filler. I'd be very surprised if he can actually hang with the 450 class as stacked as it is.
Good luck to Jlaw in the outdoor season! Let's see if he commits this this as he claims in his interview.
Training with someone like Josh Hansen for the Nationals isn't what most people would consider a recipe for success.Everyone who's made is as an established professional rider has tons of talent. What separates riders outdoors is being in shape and riding with heart. Neither or those are qualities I'd associate with Jason Lawrence.
j LAW STILL RIDES. GOOD LUCK AT THE LCQ
haha I guess I wont be buying any Utopia products...seriously WHAT were they thinking? This kid shouldnt be anywhere near a pro track anymore. With all the deserving riders out there that could use sponsorship they pick that convict? What is the world coming to?
Oh and hey 2008 was 5 years ago. Lets stop refering to him as any kind of champion.
Mental Note: Fart on anyone with Utopia gear.
J-Law, Hansen - Stick to cooking Meth and Chillin at the bar.
@jmantattoo - I really never liked the guy, but how isn't he a champion?
I think it would be great. The more the better? He's just another racer on the gate. If he can run up front, good for him. According to your "depth of field", Jason should be right in there. He is a former champion right? He is as good as anyone?
I didn't know you could race on work release. wonder if he'll race in a flo orange jump suit and pick up trash around the track after the race?
