Funny, you can hear Mike Alessi whining in effort before RV threw his bike off of his. Also, huge difference in sound coming from Shorts bike than everybody elses.
Myself--like alot of others where blaming Reed for the crash that caught up RV.. But after watching the vids, it looked like Braytons fault to me..He jumped in on Reed pretty hard..
@ therealmofo....You beat me to it, Brayton pinched him off hard but I doubt it was his intentions to take them out. Another racing incident in my eyes.
Not intentional at all, but alot of people blaming Reed. I did.. but I wonder if anyone else will own up to their mistake...
Anyone else feel slow and old after watching the millsaps stew video?? LOL that was cool to see the commitment level of hitting those spots in 1st lap traffic... Side to side The speeds are ridiculous... We wonder why only a few can run that pace..
It didn't look like MA was making any effort to get his bike off of RV's, I think they were running 8th/10th when that happened on lap 3, and that put them back to 18th/19th. RV passed 10 guys to finish in 8th, MA passed 2 guys to get to 17th. Sweet throw by RV, would love to see that from another camera angle. I can't imagine being in a SX main and being more interested in slowing down the champ than ripping around him on the outside and getting as many points as possible.

It looked to me that MA was trying to unhook his bike from RV's -- he was just in an awkward location and was trying to keep it from stalling. But it was hilarious the way RV pulled an Incredible Hulk move and flipped MA's bike over. Looked like it knocked MA backwards too.
I agree it was unfortunate and mike does not need to be blamed here. The bikes got hooked up and there it was...if anything RV needs to blame himself for crashing in the FIRST PLACE - now this is completely unbiased but from the MEC he has been the rider on the ground the most I think - which leads me to this next point.
If you look at the DM JS videos those bikes turn in and stick- look closely at how easily they can get into a rut or even turn down sharper if needed - now look at he RV video - his front wheel is always hunting and sawing and even skips up over ruts at times...it is turning terrible. That has to get at his confidence - the fact that he can still lay down fast times with that thing is amazing - look closely and you'll see what I mean.
Like Ping said on the BTO sports podcast - he needs to go back to the setup that works because it is clear from the go pro that thaing turns horribly.
Just looked at the RV video again...that thing pushes REAL BAD..
@dino - if you have a chance watch the SPEED replay now that you've seen the GoPro. I checked again and it looks like MA comes to a complete stop and hops off the bike before he throttles the front end over RV's bike, instead of just riding around it to maintain position. I'm curious what you think? I agree RV needs work on front control but he is known for steering with the rear tire more than the other top guys.
Picking up and throwing a running rmz450....damn, for a kid clocking in at 150lbs. that's like hitting 75 home runs in a season! ( or winning the Tour de France 5X in a row )
I'm beginning to prefer the gopro footage to the actual broadcast. Not having to listen to Ralph would be icing on the cake.

P_lease, its not like he pressed it over his head, he rolled it over, so what.. My son could do that when he was a freshman in high school..He didnt pick the thing off the ground..

Reed needs to be thrown out of the sport.
@motodog77 - you may be right...I am not a fan of Alessi or his shenanigans but when faced with split second decisions (like Alessii was) it would be nothing but speculation on my part as to his motives - we will leave that one up in the air.
As I said the reason Alessi got into hin in the FIRST PLACE was he was on the ground - and yes RV, it would appear, throghout his entire career has steered with the throttle. Tracks that offer bite allows the front to grab enough so he can pivot and then throttle through (and it looks awesome and is super fast) - but as we all know this track was as slick as a whisky fart...
Just look at the video...I have huge respect for that kid riding that thing so fast...I would have pulled off myself :)
Such a dangerous sport; these videos show it so clearly; love it.
