Bel-Ray to Support Josh Hansen in 2013
Tuesday, January 15, 2013 | 10:20 AMFARMINGDALE, N.J. ― Bel-Ray announces its support of professional supercross racer Josh Hansen for the 2013 racing season.
Hansen competed for the Bel-Ray sponsored racing team Hart and Huntington during the 2012 Supercross series and will continue for 2013 with his new team L&M Racing. Despite an injury that shortened his 2012 Supercross campaign, Hansen finished eighteenth in the overall series standings.Hansen's affiliation with Bel-Ray began in 1982 when his father Donnie won both the 250 Motocross and 250 Supercross Championships aboard his Bel-Ray sponsored Honda CR250R.
"I'm stoked to be a part of the Bel-Ray team, and I'm looking forward to a great 2013 season," said Hansen. "When I looked for a lubricants sponsor, for 2013 Bel-Ray was my only choice. Their products worked great in my 2012 bike and I know I can count on them to provide the performance I need to succeed."
The race-proven Bel-Ray products that Hansen will use to compete during the 2013 season are the same advanced lubricants found on dealer’s shelves, including:
Silicone Detailer & Protectant Spray- A premium product specially formulated to provide a spectacular finish to all plastic and metal surfaces. Designed to resist the attraction of dust and dirt on the surface of parts treated, it will not react with paint, metals or plastics but still binds well to surfaces leaving behind the new bike shine.
Bel-Ray Works Thumper Racing Full Synthetic Ester 4T Engine Oil - A 4-stroke synthetic motorcycle racing oil developed for full works competition use. Full synthetic ester base oils are designed and proven to withstand extreme racing conditions under high temperatures and stresses providing the ultimate 4-stroke motorcycle oil.
Bel-Ray Waterproof Grease - Legendary, high-performance, multi-purpose grease. Perfect for wheel bearings, headsets, shock linkages, swing arm pivots and other lubrication points.
“Bel-Ray is very happy to help Josh this season,” said Jennifer Liquori, chief operating officer of Bel-Ray. “Our powersports lubricants have been proven to perform at the highest level for decades under all the high stresses of professional competition. We are excited to see Josh perform at the front of the pack this season.”
Hansen made his 2013 Supercross debut on January 5th at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA.

They drop Reed and pick this kid up ??? WOW....
This kid is a piece of SHIT! Why would anyone want to sponsor him
I thought he had gotten older/wiser, but after that inexplicable **** at A1, nope ... he needs a lot more than Bel-Ray to 'succeed'.
I guess it's only Maxima from now on.
Bel-Ray is off my list of lubricants.
What kind of business is that to drop a Multi time Champ and then send the support over to some Skid Row punk ? Like that kid is going to be able to represent them better ???
No more Bel Ray for me either.........
Sad deal here. I've used Bel Ray for decades.... But no more now. I simply can't support a company who is blind to who it sponsors. I'm switching to Maxima as well.
Probably the worst timed press release in their history.
I can think of at least 20 riders who would better represent Bel-Ray. I respect the loyalty between Bel-Ray and Donnie, but different time, different rider.
What a bunch of crybabies.all of the Stewart haters with no where to go.not all support is the same I suspect reed was demanding a lot more,Hanson was a bargain I'm sure.and maxima? Really? in his day the dogger makes hanson look pure.
@oldblood...I agree...Hansen actually trains...Ronnie will be the first to tell you he never did S#!+.......Also Josh Hansen does this unbelievably crazy thing that Ronnie sometimes didn't.....He actually shows up at the races when he is supposed to, and represents his sponsors.....Ok, maybe he doesn't always represent them so well and screws up once in a while.....but for what they are probably paying him, I'm sure it will work out Ok.....Oh, I believe when Bel Ray sponsored Reeds team, they were like his main sponsor, and put up a huge insane amount of money for a lubricant co. Hansen probably cost pennies compared to the Reed deal.
