Good podcast Matthes & Weege. You were talking about Hannah and how he was the absolute best for three straight years. The same goes for RJ. But he would have continued that trend if not for the injury that was a total accident. Chad Reed has had a great career, but not once was he considered the best. Both of his titles came when his main competitor were out with injury.
Podcast not good.
30-day countdown to A1 list, not good.
This is a major low point for RacerX, and will probably not be forgiven until the year 2014 or later.
That was a great podcast...especially the comments about Carmichael:-) Total honesty in this little sport we all love is what will take us to the "Next Level" everyone wants. The whole "industry" is full of ass kissers and bro's and if you dare to say a rider had a bad year, you get shit on by all the teams and sponsors..whatever! Almost every other sport feeds on both the good and bad that's said/printed about athletes...so why not ours? I like RC as much as anyone but Steve hit the nail on the head...Manager + photo shoot = lame. Oh..I cried for MC on the parade lap at A1....his almost didn't pull that first Nac Nac back:-(
MATHES!
Lay off Carmichael doing parade laps. Which is worse for the sport? Stewie dressing up like damn Prince and playing a wooden prop guitar or RC tripling the backstretch?!?!?!
One of my GREATEST HIGHLIGHTS of the Atlanta Supercross was getting a picture and autograph of RC in the HOTEL.....can you imagine the reaction of seventy thousand screaming fans watching #4 running around the track in the parade?
Your so damned PC!........LOOSEN UP!
Good podcast. FYI, I have seen Michael Jordan do a parade lap on a MotoGP bike at a MotoGP race in Spain and he owns a road racing team.
Also, Hannah definitely before Reed and maybe Stewart and maybe RJ.
How the flip could ANYBODY have a problem with the greatest motorcycle rider of all time giving the fans a parade lap???? I can hardly stomach him in the booth these days but NOBODY has been as important to the sport as the GOAT!
The difference with RC and all the other team owners/managers is this: The GOAT could still beat his riders!!!!!!!!!!!!
Face it Matthes, RC is in a category all by himself and he still helps the sport with his appearances. It's not like bringing a 70 year old guy out in a wheel chair and boring everybody to death.
Matthes' ever present jealousy of RC ruins the whole podcast. You get some benchracing in between him and Weege, but the whole podcast is pissed away with Matthes' jealousy. Sprinkled in with his usual drivel about Ferry and Summercross. Your 1hr 13mins would be better spent driving with the radio off.
Mattes your lame complaining about the goat he is still a fan favorite and he doesn't even race. Just because Ricky thinks you suck I do too. Reed should not even be top ten just for always being beat by the next up and comers for his whole career.
Very passive-aggressive toward RC.....should take own advice to "let it go" as applied to RC. Doesn't LaRocco still ride and test bikes? Why is RC still demonstrating a high level of skill a bad thing?
