I'm thinking that all the way into his third season, Stewart won very race that he didn't crash in. I don't mean it seemed that way, it was an actual stat. Does anyone else remember that?

People always say that it took RC 2 full seasons to beat MC, and MC dominated his first year in the 250 class. But RC also moved up earlier than MC did. MC turned pro in 89 and didnt win his first big title until 93. RC's first SX season was 97 and he won his title in 01, so in that instance they are equal. So these excuses people make for MC's percentage that he raced past his prime, he also didnt START until his prime as well.

Great article, again and I"ve come to expect nothing less, but I have a tidbit of news. I just spoke with Alex Martins' mother and she informed me that he had a little crash at a photo shoot that required surgery and will put him down for a while. He hopes to only be out for 4 to 6 weeks so it must not be that serious, however that isn't what he needed at the moment. As this just happened yesterday, the whole thing is up in the air I would imagine. He is really bummed as he was really liking his new ride and was making good progress with his testing, and set ups. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery, and with his determination, hopefully he will be ready come Feb. 19!

Oh, yeah. Her other son. Jeremy. Almost forgot. He's been training in the S.E. for the last few months at a place everyone would want to train. And is on his way to Calif. for more supercross testing. He is very determined to make a name in the Pro MX world and do whatever it will take to get to the top. (sounds familiar) So, keep the it off the ground Jerma, we want to see both of you on the starting line in Feb!

Chadder44 I think they are saying that if MC would have retired after the 2000 season his stats would be more impressive.... 70 wins in 143 races for a 49% win rate!!

BD25 I get that, but what I'm saying is that if RC had waited 2 more years to move up to the 250 class (like MC did) , his percentage would be better too.

@BD25- You are welcome. I am waiting to see what comes on here about it. More details. I wanna khow exactly what is up. He is coming home to heal, and I have to go down and get a door from John's Cat. (He keeps breaking the glass) so I should be able to have a chat with him soon! We got 8inches of snow, Sunday, and now it pretty much melted. More coming this weekend! Haven't had the sleds out yet...

@BD25--Mcgrath has 72 wins-not 70.. If I'm not mistaken..
