Whoa! That reply was a little harsh! Bottom line Stewart can win races and although I'm not his biggest fan, having 1 more guy on the line who can win is a good thing. And lastly that turndown scrub at the end was saucy.
While I have been known to bash on James in the past for a lot of things (that he earned!) I actually hope he can keep it on two wheels and make the season fun and interesting. I think from this video he looks like he has great timing and is fast like his old self. However, it is easy to look fast on your own track that you ride every day. Hell, I even look fast riding on my own property and I am a turd!
Having said that, I hope the human lawn dart experiment is over with. It sort of seems like during the off season that James has laid low, hopefully eliminating distractions in his life (cops, Sorby, Bubbas World, Lambos etc) and settled into what he is actually good at...riding a dirt bike.
He does look good on the bike and a good solid year of riding the same brand and just getting comfortable could make it really tough for the competition this year.
With RV, Barcia, Reed, and RD, James will have his hands full...as long as he can stay off the ground.
Is he not super gifted on a bike. He is very fast and very exciting to watch. If he can get things figured out or fix whatever issues thats going on in his head it would be great for the sport, and to see someone get back on top after so much doubt and negativity
@b787 Hahhaha!!!! Your comments are so amusing!!! Do you always bring up old stuff? That arrest was like forever ago... give it up!!! Contracts? Last I heard Suzuki gave him ZERO money for 2012 Motocross (undefeated before that guy ran across the track) ... Last I checked he was FLYING on that new Suzuki. Why waste your time time to deter him? Why not just shut up... oh wait it's cause you probably wish you could be half as good and you wouldn't still be an AMATEUR LOCAL racer... ah people like you pay James' contracts...just sayin!!!
b787tech your dumb ass is a hater he did the outdoors without a contract B***H What about the other guys that got hurt and went out Like Chad Reed and R.V.? Everybody was sucking their D**k When James gets hurt he's not allowed to be human He changed the game and the way everyone rides!!!! Remember the BUBBA SCRUB????? Everyone does that shit now. He made history What have you done our sport besides being jealous of someone else and their success??????
I should have ended my original post with "CUE THE STEWTARDS".......
Here comes all of the Stewie Nutsuckers.........
Before anyone decides to flame me, please read my post above....
You Stewtards are so predictable.
I'm not a JS fan but he can do things on a SX track that not many can. He has a great bike and if he has a good season he will be tough to beat.
@Redneckrider Or maybe were just fans of the sport and its harsh that people here bash on him all day?
The posts on here are astronomical when its JS7 pretty minimal when its someone else. Fact is people pay attention to him weather you like it or not.
I'm not even a Super JS7 fan, i'm just a fan of the sport. Just stating the obvious...well to most people it's obvious anyway. Later guys!!!
Old Paint knows its way to the barn and Havoc7 is out of excuses....its put up or shut up.....its also ridiculous to think he can't win. If he can keep it on two he'll be trouble.
I am looking forward to this season just like all seasons since 1974 when the first supercross season started. I wish all the riders the best of luck. Hope James the lawn dart Stewart can keep it on two wheels.
People like "b787" are the sh*t on the bottom of the internets shoe.
Super harsh comments in regards to one the G.O.A.T. Show some respect. I for one have been frustrated with James in the past few years, but to post comments of that nature is sad.
I want James to win, I think it's cool that he is now an underdog, and that does nothing but give credit to how fast all the others are going.
People like Jeremy, Ricky, The Ryans, and James, have all forced the other riders, and the sport in general to take a step up.
Show some respect. I may be a bit of a Stewtard, but I respect every man/woman that steps out from behind a screen and onto the gate.
Make your points folks, keep em zesty, but please show respect for the men that made our sport what it is today.
Bubba Fever helped us break into the mainstream kids.
Lol redneckrider you make yourself look like a dumbass I mean come on now your gonna bash a pro rider? You couldnt get on 1 single AMA track an do a full lap without eating shit somewhere you gotta give credit when its due an not bash a rider that on any given day can run with any other rider in the sport
it's a shame JS isnt as consistent as RD.He could be the Goat #2,But he got all caught up in money and ego!! I think its going to be Rv-RD-JS-CR. RV will put JS on his ass if needed,RD needs to get tougher! And CR is a question mark.I think CR and JS will be battling each other and up front Rv and RD
My picks
RD
RV
JS if he can make it through the season with being a lawn dart!
Cr
But Im a RD FanSO I hope His Consistent riding gets him the championship!!
Consistency and 3rd places are boring. But thats Dungey, slow and steady. Stewart will never be the underdog because if he doesnt win everyone talks crap. Give him a break. Everyone know he has the speed to win but they dont admit until after he loses and talk down on him. Its annoying. Im not gonna sit here and talk crap about any rider. Theyre being paid to ride and im not. They deserve all the respect and for idiots on the internet to race behind a keyboard is just plain sad. I hope James pulls it off this season and makes everyone a believer again.
Sick. His bikes seems so explosively fast.
After letting RD5 and Roger DeCoster escape, JS7 was Suzuki's best hope to get back on top of the box. JS7 has had several disastrous seasons, but let's not forget how dominant he was before me made the move to blue. He seems to get along well with his RMZ and I for one would not be surprised to see him get on a roll again and dominate. If he gets a few wins under his belt and his confidence back he is capable of winning the title.
@b787tech: James is a treat to watch riding/racing. We should all enjoy as we are fortunate to witness the most talented dirt rider ever, period. Which actually makes me wonder about your comment: 1) Either, James slept with your wife, or 2) your are a KKK member. I believe that the latter is the most likely because with such a comment I can't imagine your wife is attractive.
As much as I dont like the guy he is undeniably fast and his new bike looks and sounds on point. I happen to be a RD fan but Im also a fan of the sport in general and cant deny what he is capable of. Lets just hope everyone stays in one piece this year so we can enjoy the most competitive SX season to date.
I guarantee you, THERE ARE NO PRO RIDERS TALKING SMACK ON JS7....Look out y'all!!!!
From the GoPro, his track looks like a parking lot that little old ladies could traverse pushing a shopping cart. I am WAY sure that it isn't, If you hear his throttle control, he has the track totally and supremely dialed, placing his wheels with precision. He made it look so simple, effortless, just thinking your way around the track. What a master.
I hope that he stays healthy. I hope they all stay healthy. I also hope I can wait until 7pm PST on January 5th. C'mon man!
That footage of the whip at the end is SICK - - - thats what this video is all about...
Bubba needs to get J-law out there with him! Blocker!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for 2013
b787tech = DUMBASS !!!!!
Better yet I want to see you line up at an SX race and see if you can race a MX bike as fast as you race your mouth !!!!!
Don't be a PU$$Y !!!!!!
Man -his line comes really CLOSE to the edge of that jump at 0:42 in.
If he was to lose the front end off of the side of it- it looks like he would wrap that RMZ around that metal telephone pole at speed.
And its SO nice to hear the mighty RMZ- with no stupid rap music.
Good call Bubba! Keep making good choices and this just might be your year.
I think PING pretty much hit the nail on the head in this weeks column when he said that james needs to practice on some dirt very similar to california supercross dirt. He never leaves his compound to practice and that is what hurts him when it comes race time on totally differnt dirt he is not used to.
So if that is the actual speed he's going in the corners that is impressive. You can talk s**t all day long about how he has this track wired. But if he can rail the corners with that kind of momentum, it doesn't matter where he's riding, he's on it!!
james has the ability to win races for sure, thus he will be a threat in the points early. recent past results suggest he wont make it thru without throwing away a race or two. but im pulling for him to get his shit together and at lest be a factor win the series rolls n2 vegas
i'm Reed fan, but something says this is JS7's year. Look at the outdoors he was on his way...................
b787tech....dude you need to randomly record yourself when your just chillin out.....then like next day, play it back to yourself...and you may just figure out why you have no friends
tone....I hate to burst your bubble dude but a cat named Jo Jo Keller was scrubbin decades before James...google it
MX473....I'll bet money there is no wife in b787tech's pathetic life...just internet porn
WFO_UFO....I was thinking if he made that line choice during the real deal James would be eating a tuff block cover
James Stewart is the fastest rider I've ever seen.....for one lap
Sweet video, but we're already aware that he can go fast for two laps in his backyard. I want to see him complete every single round, even if it means ending up fifteenth in points. He just needs something to build on and success will follow. Heck James, take a lesson from Malcolm...his season was up and down, be he stuck it out to the end and that's something for him to build on in 2013.
I too believe that Stewart will be good this year...been awfully quite which is exactly what he needs to do.
RV and JS will win the majority of the races with the other guys getting theirs when the duo have bad nights. It's those bad nights and how they manage them that will be the difference.....
I feel RV is the Man right now but I'm looking forward to seeing the two of them go at it....with the other fast guys mixed in!
Can we please just get all this X-mas crap over with and get to racing....frig
WTF is with the ambulance parked at the house? do they own it for their own use? anyway get off the bros. ass let him race, and prove himself again.i would not bet my money on him not winning a race or 3 this year.
JS7 looks good, going to be his year i reckon/hope
God I hope all these guys stay off the ground this year!!
(never seems to pan out tho)
@thetoothperry--You said consistancy and 3rd place is boring--that seems like Stewart to me.. Ohwait, he hasnt been better than 4th for the last 3 years or so has he?? So you are right, he isnt that good anymore.. He will be better on the Suzuki, just for the fact he is benefitting from all the testing that Dungey and Metcalfe has done for that bike.. Suzuki even said they had all the settings for the Nationals and supercross from before, and use those for Stewart.. So there you go..
And I cant believe Stewtards are still blaming the reporter for Stewie crashing.. Well, what about the other crashes, Red Bud, Unadilla, where is the excuse there.. Face it guys, he has ALWAYS crashed.. His entire career.. He crashed out of 125 titles and everything.. Why dont you just face it..
I do agree with Ping, Stewie needs to practice on something other than his own track.. There are some very hard and dry surfaces in supercross, and he needs to get on them also.. It can only help.. I am not a huge Stewart fan, but I do not want anyone to go down injured.. When they all stay healthy its alot more fun.. And I do admit he is very fast, just got turned off of his "I'm a rock star" attitude, and his hatefull and full of it fans..
Annnndddd here we go haha. Been the same thing since 2009 ended. Every year we hear about how good he looks in his backyard and how he's going to wax everyone and how all the "haters" are going to eat crow. I predict the lovers will be eating crow once again for the 4th year in a row. I hope he can stay healthy and has left his bloody circus act behind, the more top guys the merrier.
If i had a compound why would i go practice at other places i would just change the track every so often, He earned the money for that place so he has luxury of practicing in yard then chillin in his house
When JS is on it he just flows! I can not wait for A1 and I hope everyone stays healthy for some GREAT racing!
@jb82--nobody is saying he didnt earn his money or nothing.. He needs to get ready for other surfaces than the one on his track, and that surface only.. If he would change the dirt fine, but he doesnt..Just something I saw Ping bring up and it kinda made sense to me is all.
Can,t wait for A1, should be good!
I hope he can keep it on two wheels this year! I may not be rooting for him in particular, but it sure is more fun to watch when all the unnaturally fast guys are healthy.
Someone count all the "ifs" in these posts, that ends up being a mighty big "IF" when its all said and done.
Something has to change, and I hope it does so we can have some great racing, or with the comp that is out there and about to move up, winning another title will be extremely difficult.
That video was sick! He was slashing those whoops like a boss! Can't wait to see him regain the title this year...
Yep, let's do 5000 laps on my "home" track, that should do it.
Well I am looking forward to A1 and to see what James brings to the table.
I hope you all understand that the G.O.A.T. is the same has the Highlander....There can be only one!
For those of you who obviously don't know. He spent a great deal of time in California testing and prepping last month and the month prior. He wasn't only riding his compound.
@ PW29,, Well said.. Some on here have no clue what they are saying.. What's he suppose to do, fly to Antarctica and do some ice riding so it will make some goons on here happy?? Of cousre he is fast on his home track, everyone is.. Some of you guys are clowns...
@Preston - Get James nuts out of your mouth again would ya? You didn't even read my post where I gave the guy props. I used the term STEWTARDS to describe idiots like yourself that get their panties in a wad over anyone saying anything negative about your man crush. You are so easily baited and so predictable.
By they way, the definition of RETARD means behind the norm. Whether you are talking about music tempos, car engine timing, or people and their abilities. If something is behind what is normal it is considered RETARDED and is not a derogatory term at all. It is a descriptive term. James is not a retard. Far from it.
However his predictable, idiotic, race baiting fans like you are RETARDED. You fail to see things as they are because your biases and love for the dude cloud your judgement that every one else sees. That makes you BEHIND THE NORM and therefore A STEWTARD.
Now go back and re read the entire post until it sinks into your thick idiotic skull.
The video looks good, James has been laying low and keeping distractions to a minimum and he has more than one year now on the new bike. What part of that didn't you understand you moron? All I said is that he will do well if he can keep it on two wheels and not be a human lawn dart. What part of that do you not understand?
@koby909 - Actually, I ride the Vet Intermediate class and I do pretty well for a guy over 40. I have actually been on the track with James a few times (long time ago now) and I all said was I hoped his lawn dart days are over, and that anyone can look fast on a track they ride every day. If you don't believe that, then you obviously don't have your own track. I do. Ever seen Ryan Huffman ride the Washougal track? Unbelievable to watch since he rides it every day. However he is not nearly as fast at other tracks that his family doesn't own. Even totally out of shape that guy is insane to watch for two laps on his own track.
James is blistering fast on his own track and still very fast on other national tracks but he isn't nearly as fast at a national track as he is on his own track. Nobody is.
Just sayin...
@Redneckrider,, you said --- "he has more than one year now on the new bike."
You sure about that??
Im waiting to see the new gear JS7 will be debuting here really soon...From the looks of the gloves and little bits of his jersey (arm), it appears to not be Answer...so he may be running the new stuff now....
video of of guys on their practice tracks will always make them look good....Reed, RV and JS7 have their (mulitple tracks) mastered and they always look good.....James does ride other tracks....he has 2 or 3 of his own in Florida, plus whatever they have for testing in Socal....This video is showing off the new GoPro 3 camera....great quality....
@mxmofo1 - I should have said "he has moved into a second season on the bike" instead. You are correct. He doesn't actually have a full year on the bike yet (unless you count the spy photos before he left the Yamahas). The spy pics of James riding the Suzuki are a about a year old, but he does not in fact have a full season officially on the bike yet.
Now that I think about it, he doesn't have a full season at all in the last few years on any bike. He looked awesome at the start of the outdoors last year until the lawn dart fest crept in.
Really hope everyone stays healthy all year. Love to see an epic SX season this year.
@ KilloMoto Nice observation on the gear. Did you see @ 1:16 just as he takes off into his whip, the top of his glove looks like it say Seven.
He is wearing Answer gloves.
Posted before I was finished, as my son told me "he's wearing same gear from his twitter page"
i am corrected, it is still the Answer gear..... But, where is the new stuff I wonder.
I sure hope A1 isnt the first time he rides with it.....
That thing looks like it turns pretty quick with him on it.
Its the joe joe scrub! ppl need to learn some history.
@Jdhd14228 - EXACTLY!!! However, James did take the scrub to a whole new level.
@Yitzhak_Rabin - I totally agree. The Zuks have always been awesome at turning due the to slightly steeper steering head angle and shorter rake but all of the development that was done with DeCoster, RC, and RD took it to a new level IMHO. Now the thing is much more stable at speed and corners. As a Honda/Yamaha guy, those things are starting to look mighty tempting these days. Not real big on the yellow though.
Lawn Dart alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sooooo ready for him to go somewhere else.......
Jo Jo turned the wheel up.......the new scrub is wheel turned down......significant difference.
Jus sayin
How can you scrub with the front wheel pointing up?- its impossible. jo jo was doing a low flying cross up.
Stewart did change the way we ride, not many people have done that, bradshaw with his win or die trying, its wasnt is he going to pass, it was is he going to pass and not knock you down, Stewart with his patent scrub win or die trying additude as well, damon would have premier titles if not for some insane but preventible crashes, as Stewart will always be known no matter how he goes out dont believe look and the pages of posts everytime some douch bag decides he want to say something bad about him, hes good for the sport, hes fun to watch unlike your cookie cutter pros that are coached to do and say what ever the team or team manager wants them to say Stewart and Ricky Carmichial have done good things and continue to and always will do good things for the sport, dont think for a minute James wont have his own team at some point and it wont be some joke like Team Two Two, who knows maybe he give bit#*787 ot red d**krider and anybody else talking shit washing boots and cleaning toilets.
