Fat, out of shape and can prolly still beat 90% of the worlds Motocross riders.

More like 90% of the world's professional Motocross riders. I'd say he's in the top 99% in the world when you include everyone.

More comments about a guys weight, honestly who really gives a crap.. The guy had more dedication to the sport than 99% of all racers out there, and is still giving back.. And gets crap from so-called fans because he retired and added some pounds.. So what, he has more than earned the right to eat whatever the hell he wants too..

i think it shows how hard he worked while racing and how bad he wanted to win. he showed discipline in his diet and training, now he is retired and put on a few lbs. so what....... hes still one bad mofo! although thats gotta be 38's haha kinda reminds me of jojo keller circa 1988. he passed me a coaco beach , jersey out and crack showing.....and proceeded to pull away @ about a sec a lap. DAMN, that still hurts 25yrs later.......haha

I think he could get in shape for 2013 Nationals and be a serious contender for the title, IF he REALLY wanted to... Go call Aldon now! :-D

He has absolutely nothing to prove, just being bored...

#444?
#4x?

Well said BD200.

It definately shows the dedicaton he had with his weight while he was racing, since genetics are not on his side as far as weight goes.

I didn't matter that I knew he was going to win every time I went to the Southwick national; I never got tired of watching him ride out front by himself.

Watching RC put in laps alone is a textbook lesson of balance, throttle control, and PUSH. But, it is ultimately the equivalent of watching Jerry Rice catch a pass and sprint to the End Zone...with no Defense on the field. Or maybe, Roger Federer hitting perfectly timed, incredibly powerful ground strokes against a backboard.

Put any other rider at any other level, on any other bike, anywhere on the track and you will only then get a glimpse into the heart, soul, effort, and commitment that Ricky brings to his signature brand of racing.

He is not the fastest or smoothest that has ever lived. He's just faster than everyone else of the track...yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He'll help you race faster than you ever dreamed you could before. THEN go faster. THEN go longer. It is RC's reaction to his perception of his competition that genuinely, and most accurately, defines his Greatness.

That quality, and more Championships than anyone else. EVER.

Class dismissed.

i will admit that when stewart came along i thought rc's days were done. man was i wrong. it was impressive to see ricky step up and meet the challange,,,,,,,, and crush it! this guy is warrior. none of us here can begin to comprehend the sacrifice it must take to be dedicated and driven to want to win this badly. but is it truly a sacrifice if it is your desire? rc biggest and most valued talent was in his heart..........his desire to be the best. i used to think of johnson, ward, hannah, and bailey when "the best there ever was" came in question. now i only think RICKY CARMICHAEL
