Duel exhause 1400 bucks NOT !
Two silencers, this failed on the crf250 years ago.
The dual silencer can get a bit more expensive but man i've always been a fan of the look. So Motogp!
Anyone remember WHY the 250F dual pipe was dropped by Honda?
Would like to see the dyno stats that confirm this Pipe's HP advantage over a single sided silencer/pipe... Certainly they considered the bit of extra weight -and the opportunity for one more piece of the equipment to be damaged in a race...? Really pricey for the average, non-factory sponsored guy.
I'd like to know the engineering behind it as well just out of curiosity if nothing else. Since its a single cylinder with a single header... it doesn't seem like splitting off into 2 midpipes and silencers is going to do anything performance wise. Didn't Honda say the decision was made to help quiet the exhaust dbs? All fine off the showroom floor to appease the tree huggers but why not go back to the single system for the race team?
A $1500+ exhaust system? This is a consumable item that in all reality will not last a season of professional racing, much less the demolition derby that is the amatuer scene.
If you would have told me this 20 years ago I'd have said you were crazy..............looks like the joke is on me.........and you.
