That Pro shootout at Hog Heaven was awesome-great racing between Hayes,Webb and McElrath.Webb was putting the pressure on Hayes 1st 250 moto, but his bike cut off and he couldn't get it started back up.Martin ran away in the 1st 450 moto, first turn pile-up the 2nd moto wrecked his overall.Gotta give it up to Marshall competing on a KTM 2-stroke in both A classes.Mad Mike Jones can still twist the throttle these days.Great track, great food, great racing-thanks HOGGGG!!!

I didn't realize so many mx guys were good ole republicans and libertarians. I love it!!

I know some of you think it's a waste of time, but the political aspects of this country have a HEAVY influence I the survival of our sport. For example, Clinton banned all snow machines from West Yellowstone, which was a hugely thriving business in 1992.

Obama is anti ANYTHING with an engine, take time and read his EPA stipulations for 2013. They are gross... Plus he wants to seize all hydraulic fracking, which there goes out chance for energy independence and results in 10$ gallon gas, I.e. killing motocross even further.
Please vote Tuesday.. Go with your gut

Haha they have over 70 plus race. YEAH right ride till u have a heart attack!!!! LOL its nice tho for the fit and healthy guys . Surprisingly it was a 3 man race LOL. If u fracture a rib at 70 that might be enough to end your life> Just saying> Would be nice to see chad reed and ricky racing at their 60's and 70's may be Chad will get even.

He races all year on a Husqvarna and switches to KTM for the last round to win the title for THEM? Someone please explain how this is not what it looks like....

rickamatuzio -

I'm not criticizing your choice of candidate, but I am criticizing your reasoning.

We're voting for the most politically, socially and economically influential office on the planet. If you advocate making a decision based on who lets you ride a dirtbike, you're an unadulterated simpleton.

I sincerely hope you possess more sophisticated awareness than your post suggests.

Profile Picture
rickamatuzio wrote: 3:34pm November 5, 2012

Ha, yes I'm a little more sophisticated than that. Because we are on a motocross website, that's why I only choose to say that. It would be a LONG post if we discussed everything. The political office affects motocross like it does everything else, including gay marriage. It's a slippery slope and we get the trickle down effect, pretty soon people will be able to marry their dogs, and motorcycles will be illegal. Riding motorcycles is a pretty big display of freedom, which your democratically elected government wants to take away from you.

Think about it for awhile

It's cool that Gary Jones still rides. Even cooler that guys are still riding in their 70s. Hope they take it easy though, at that age injuries are far more serious.

Anyone else surprised Tedesco only went 2-2?

My uncle rode dirt bikes until he was 79 (I hope I inherited his genes!). He'd ride in the Oregon woods with a group of guys, the youngest was mid-60s. One of them did have a fatal heart attack, but they didn't see that as sad. They missed him, obviously, but would you rather live another year or two sitting in your house all the time, or go out while doing something you loved?

Profile Picture
carlsbad wrote: 7:12pm November 5, 2012

No mention of the next big thing (E.T.) getting beat by Brayton & the bass-ackwards death machine?

@ iloveyoulongtime, please remember you are on an AMERICAN website and our right to vote and interest in doing so is what makes us a cut above the apathetic do-nothings that are a sickness on our country. Just because you don't have the stomach for taking charge in your own life, don't try to sell your slacker's version of what's right on the people that do.

Motorcycles ARE freedom and they have been on the front lines of political and socio-economic battlefields for some time i.e. helmet laws, the far-reaching "lead laws", land-closures and import tarrifs & taxes are but a beginning of the life-affecting decisions that we as enthusiasts have a say in.

Sorry to rant, but when I see the pablum that comes from some of these posters I want to get out my RED, WHITE & BLUE AMERICAN flag and wave it in their faces. That is all.

rickamatuzio, do you have any idea how bad fracking is? look it up! They do fracking in areas that affect peoples water supply! It causes many many short and long term illnesses!! Don't let fracking effect your vote!!! IT HURTS CHILDREN!!

GOod for Bryton!! Hope he goes to France for that supercross next week!

Profile Picture
rickamatuzio wrote: 9:40pm November 5, 2012

Canadianmxfan, I just read a huge article on hydraulic fracking. The EPA did a year long study and could not find a single case where drinking water was polluted. How could it be?

They found many bouts of extremeists trying to manipulate/skew the tests.. (Just like the emails of the scientists admitting to lying about global warming evidence that didn't exist) as so to make the public notion of a nonexistent problem.

Don't get me started on this political stuff, my blood pressure goes up. It's easy LESS GOVERNMENT=BETTER AMERICA. What happened tithe good ole 70s muscle car wars? Or the late 70s stereo amplifier wars? Government quashed all of our vices. Z50 mini bikes could be sold because of a .0003% lead engine case for Christ sake!! Our kids are that stupid they eat the motors now???? Give the people a little credit.

Profile Picture
rickamatuzio wrote: 9:54pm November 5, 2012

Sorry, could NOT sell 50s. I understand.. Sorry about the political rant, but the the day before our election so I am just hoping to make one person possibly change if they are undecided.

Go read the list of EPA actions that Obama plans to take in 2013, people will cough up a lung. There's about 56 changes including not selling any vehicles that don't reach 55mpg by 2019! Wtf???
Shut down all coal plants?? Basically, to make a long story short.. He wants environmental cleanseing which I can appreciate, but the cost of this will drive up fuel costs up to 10$ a gallon and destroy the economy further.
Trust me, I know oil stuff. Lots of oil stuff.

Ryan Hughes, as big of jack ass he is, is an animal and can twist it!! I admire his fitness and mental tough ess

canadianmxfan wrote: 9:55pm November 5, 2012

rickamatuzio, ok, lets not talk government! BUt you mentioned the EPA. Thats the U.S.A. Enviroment Protection Agency....Do you believe anything that comes from the government?
I watched a documentary about fracking and it didn't look good!! Keep looking for info to satisfy your curiosity...PLease find the truth!

Hey Canadian----- fracking when done by unqualified people, yes it can have poor effects, sort of like letting 11 year old kids drive or drinking then getting behind the wheel. It is not the smith and wesson but the criminal behind the trigger. I live in a heavy nat gas area in PA no youth deaths reported yet due to fracking, methane which is and has been in water here for who knows how long is being blamed on fracking by tree huggers and people who hope to have the taxpayer bear the burden of the treatment of their problem and sadly in some cases it is working. If there is trouble it is usually the DEP finds like 3 drops of antifreeze or oil on a huge heavy duty rubber mat mandated to be on the drill pad sites .Pretty soon we wont be able to drive a duramax or power stroke to get to the track, if you want to put your toy hauler behind your nissan leaf feel free, Im sticking my chevy 6.6, thanks though, obummer is in the pockets of the green freaks, so if you want to buy 8$ gas, ride mx bikes only if a good wind flares up keep drinking the kool aid and vote dem.
