Travis Baker Signs with Valli Yamaha
Wednesday, October 24, 2012 | 4:25 PMTravis Baker has announced that he has signed with Valli Motorsports to contest the 2013 Western Regional Supercross Lites series, as well as the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, aboard a Yamaha YZ250F.
“Travis has gotten better in the last few years and his results have gotten better and better,” says Valli Motorsports owner Chad Lanza. “He’s got a lot of experience, he’s dedicated and he wants to do well. We’re going to have a good package.”
The last time Baker rode a Yamaha was in his rookie year in 2010 for MotoConcepts. Baker’s best finish that year was an SX Lites sixth in San Francisco and an eighth in the second moto of the Washougal National.

So Valli still exists? Their merge with Star seems to be off then... Who else do they have as riders? Just Baker? Any 450 program?
Really - What ever happen to this team? Definitely not a Factory Yamaha Team. Factory support yes. Factory Team No. Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is team that hasn't made any announcement yet with their current or previous rider Kyle Peters. Travis (no chance to compete) Baker? Please! Who the heck is the team race manager...stay away.
Allthetruth, shut up.
CPP - You're a wuss
Racer x: Please include a photo of the rider in these articles. One of the biggest challenges we have as fans is the lack of facial recognition. A face with the name is important IMO.
Thanks
Baker comes from a long long of racing champions and has the potential to be a great racer. Before you judge and bash, consider what it really takes to compete at this level. All Truth, I'd like to see you line up on the gate at Anahiem 1 and talk to Baker like that!
any word on where kyle peters is going???
Your right webcokid,the Bakers are good people.Travis is a hard worker,clean cut,and a good example of a person.(hey Tony)
924rutsrider - as an FYI, when a rider's name is highlighted in the article, that means he is in our database which contains the rider's bio and photo. that goes for any article through the site. Hope this helps!
Right on MX101! Baker had never won on a Honda anyway. He always rode Yamaha and it's nice to see him back on the blue bike.
