As always, all eyes will be on Team USA, winner of the last seven FIM Motocross of Nations events.
CBS Sports Network will re-air the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations - frequently called “the Olympics of Motocross” - multiple times throughout the next year along with a 30-minute Special Report show. These multiple airings will ensure that no North American fans will miss on mainstream television the most prestigious, historical and talent-packed professional motocross race in the world.
Featuring motocross in its most beautiful and brutal form – making it one of the most strenuous sports on Earth - the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations will commence in the deep, intimidating and high speed sand of the storied Lommel race track in Belgium. The mainstream TV American and Canadian audience will be able to experience the highly anticipated battle between all-time win record holder Team USA, composed of Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey, MONSTER ENERGY/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett and debuting Geico Honda’s Justin Barcia, competing against the very best riders from all the great motocross nations of the world. Also racing in Belgium will be six-time MX1 FIM World Champion Antonio Cairoli, from Italy; 2012 MX2 FIM World Champion Jeffrey Herlings, from Holland; and 2011 FIM World Champion Ken Roczen, from Germany. All three of these riders will race on factory Red Bull KTM motorcycles. Also competing will be 2012 MX1 FIM World Championship runner-up Clement Desalle, from Belgium on a Rockstar Suzuki; 2012 MX2 FIM World Championship runner-up Tommy Searle, from Great Britain on a Floride/MONSTER ENERGY/Pro Circuit Kawasaki; and MONSTER ENERGY’s Gautier Paulin from France, on a Factory Kawasaki.
Since 1981, the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations has become the global battle for supremacy between the dominant Team USA taking on over 30 nations from around the world. For its 66th edition, the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations will return to Lommel, where in 1981, a very young and talented American team consisting of Chuck Sun, Johnny O’Mara, Danny LaPorte and Donnie Hansen, stunned the world by winning this phenomenal event for the very first time.

Hell ya!!!!!!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm don't know if I can wait that long!!
The GP fans have been fanning the flames on this race for well over a year. I kind of feel bad for Herlings. He's got to be under a ton of pressure. The way it's been built up, just winning the motos won't be good enough. He needs to completely dominate to meet expectations. I hope a seventeen year old kid can handle it.
What the __________!!!
This has to voted the best kept secret of 2012. Ninety minute (edited) coverage.
So, who do we send Chocolates to for this early Christmas gift, Mr. Coombs, I would expect.
This is a very cool surprise.
Thank You...
FxxK YA , oop's sorry, I mean woohhoo !! Go team USA !!
Does anyone else have Dish Network and not see it listed under the CBS sports network channel? All i see is auto racing listed as of now at that time Sunday.
oh my god! I have CBS Sports Network? Okay, that means bad luck is looming for me somewhere! lol I too want to know who do we thank. This is so cool. Thank you all!
Sweet awesomeness!
@RunsreyM- I have dish network, your not my bad luck are you? But I will check it out!
I have tears in my eyes.... Hell yeah baby !!!! I'm verclempt.. I just soiled myself..
@czmark - Let me know if you see anything different than i did. I'm a bit pessimistic towards Dish at this point after they took off AMC : P
I think it's channel 613 on DirecTV. Better see if I get it.
Yes, the guide shows auto racing. Just give it a day or two to update..
CAN WE GET A HELL TO THE YEAH!!!
I checked the Direct TV online guide but it doesnt show it anywhere arround that time slot. CBS sports is ch 613 on direct. I'll check it when i get home.
I'm sure you need to thank MXSports for the wonderful TV coverage.
@RunsreyM- all I see is auto racing, Lucas offroad championship. Like mxmofo1 said, lets give it a day or two, to update.
@fred- I left you a little something at the airport and it is not showa forks? ha hah
sincere thanks for making this happen - whoever you may be
There is a chance the guide WILL NOT update.. If so, no biggie.. Still tune in to that channel at that time.
WTF thats right in the middle of football..............Kidding...Fack-football......... Now I get a reason to drink beer on Sunday afternoon
sonofa.. stupid college football. I see racing also on Sunday, I'll record it anyway.
motobk I think you mean, Team America F**k Yeah.....and I don't think MX Sports had anything to do with it since it is on CBS sports, and all the nationals are on NBC channels. I would say Monster had the most to do with it if I had to guess.
@ CZ Mark, the ratings will be the gift to CBS network. Maybe they will throw their hat in the ring for national coverage upon proposal. Far cheaper than bidding on college games I would imagine.
only Bell network carries this channel in canada...
just checked Charter and they do not offer CBS Sports !!! this Blows !!! i have CBS but no CBS Sports .
Great news, but I don't see CBS Sports in my Time Warner sub...not cool for me at least.
I sure hope they doll this place up or this will be just aweful for the sport that we love .. Then again they make Nascar look good for tv even when no one shows....LOL !
The whole race? on one channel?? one moto after the other???,Damn now we are breaking new ground!!!
it will be on DVR!! but I'm still up at 6am poundin beers #merica!!
I see the BELL advertisent now, it makes sense!!! And the race is only on BELL in canada....
I always get up early morn to watch it live. I wanna see it live
They waited because broke fools like myself paid 20.00 three days ago to watch it on the Youthstream web site. I am sure 10,000 other fools did the same. 20.00x10,000=200,000.00, smart decision to wait until the last minute to have it on TV.
Awesome!! Can't wait! Been a moto fan since the 70's!! Funny did anyone else notice this..."Since 1981, the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations...." I don't recall monster energy being around back in the 80's...did Bob Hannah sip monster when he was on the podium?
Featuring motocross in its most beautiful and brutal sand roost to the face form – making it one of the most strenuous sports on Earth - the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations will commence in the deep, intimidating and high speed sand of the storied Lommel race track in Belgium. The mainstream TV American and Canadian audience will be able to experience the highly anticipated battle between all-time win record holder Team USA, composed of Red Bull KTM’s NATIONAL OUTDOOR CHAMPION Ryan Dungey, who will crush it big time and do his talking on the track".... MONSTER ENERGY/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s NATIONAL OUTDOOR CHAMPION Blake Baggett who has something to prove and will......and debuting French favorite King of Bercy Geico Honda’s Justin 'bam bam' Barcia "hey Herlings..awesome 350 kinda like bringin a knife to a awesome gun fight isn't it?", competing against the very best riders from all the great motocross nations of the world. Also racing in Belgium will be six-time MX1 FIM World Champion Antonio Cairoli...'i justa' wanna finish a moto", from Italy; 2012 MX2 FIM World Champion Jeffrey Herlings...."what does BAM BAM stand for?", from Holland; and 2011 FIM World Champion Ken 'i feel queasy' Roczen, from Germany. All three of these riders will race on brand-new untested Red Bull KTM motorcycles. Also competing will be 2012 MX1 FIM World Championship runner-up Clement Desalle, from Belgium on a Rockstar Suzuki; 2012 MX2 FIM World Championship runner-up Tommy Searle, from Great Britain on a Floride/MONSTER ENERGY/Pro Circuit Kawasaki; and MONSTER ENERGY’s Gautier Paulin from France, on a Factory Kawasaki...and Commie BOB..i like him he trys his a*s off.........and to the powers that be and Direct TV.......I thank you.
Son of a bee-och.......I have ATT U-verse and I dont see that channel anywhere.......man that blows!! If I missed it.....someone let me know
What channel is cbs sports network for dishnetwork customers
This is great news, thanks to whoever got it done.My cable package has NBC sports but not CBS sports, which seems kinda weird.I will have to try to upgrade to the next sports package by the weekend, channel 322 on Time Warner.
Glad i held off paying the bucks and don't have to get up at 5 am to watch it now.
Another channel my dish provider does not provide! Good news is that for the last six months I went from a $90 a month tv bill down to $30 a month after I realized just how many useless channels were on my package.
SUH WHEAT!!!
CBSSN is channel 158 on my dish network, guide list "auto racing" (lucas offroad series) from 5pm to 8pm? I'm hoping my guide updates tonight!
Leave it to the Euro's to hook us up with what we want.
Man if this is on from 5 to 8 leaving for work at 630 is gonna be a bee-atch!
Chant with me USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA
hallelujah!!
they finally decided that the most dominant country in MXDN history is worthy of a televised broadcast of the race that they themselves make worth watching!!
@Woody103 It is on channel 159, here in mn. Hope that helps. And YES a BIG thank-you too who ever made this happen!!
I don't think Comcast carries that channel, what an effin rip-off, $170 a month and no CBS Sport or Fuel TV, they suck!!!
Sweet!
MXL I'm pretty sure thats what replaced Versus channel 40 in ma south shore
"CBS Sports Network’s premiere broadcast of the MONSTER ENERGY FIM Motocross of Nations, will elevate the event to TV center-stage in US and Canada providing an exposure like never before. US and Canadian fans will experience a 90-minute program". Ninety minutes, folks...not complete coverage of all 3 motos. Still, better than nothing.
For anybody in Orange county Ca. I found the listing at 10pm Sunday night on Cox.
Dont know if it will change but that is what the CBS Sports website says.
Oh ya , Thanks to everybody that made this happen !!!!!
GO TEAM USA !!!
Thaaaaaaank You!!!!!!!!!!
@Canadianmxfan, I live in Ontario, Canada and I have found CBSSN on Rogers network on channel 416. It shows Lucas off road racing now but I believe the race will be on this channel. Can't wait to watch it, it's not part of my package but I intend to order it for the race.
http://www.cbssportsnetwork.com/schedule has the preview airing Sunday at 10PM est and the 90 minutes of race coverage starting Monday morning at 0130. I sure hope this is a second airing and the Sunday 6pm listing changes from Lucus offroad coverage to MXON.
Time Warner in El Paso is channel 309!!!! I have it wooohoooo!!!!
Ok thats it! I don't trust CBS and besides I want to see the entire races live not some track side talking and hacked up replay. So I am going to pony up the money set the alarm for 4am and watch it. Then when CBS shows it I will be asleep happily knowing the USA has already won.
Imagine if it was this hard to find a NFL or NBA game. I'm leaving for the weekend and cant even set my DVR to tape the biggest MX race of the year.
KELSTER, thanks for the info...In BC rogers became shaw or something like that so i call them and they said im out of luck...cant even order it from them...THey said go to a sports bar...not a bad idea but i have to call all the sports bars to see if they carry that channel...
