Tuesday, September 25, 2012 | 4:20 PM

It's never good to go back and listen to your predictions but that's exactly what we did in the BTOSports.com Racer X Podcast show. Thanks to Jason Weigandt for pulling our MX preview predictions and matching everything up to make himself, David Pingree and I look silly.

Click HERE to listen to the show or you can get it on iTunes under The Steve Matthes Show. If you have a smartphone, get the Pulpmx App or Stitcher App and listen that way.

Great pod cast. I've been watching Z Bell for 10 yrs. Fast as hell but has been taking soil samples all the way. 120 lbs and getting holeshots on that bike isnt a good measuring stick. Think he needs 20lbs of muscle to hold on. He did impress me with his speed though. Just needs to hold on for 30 plus 2.
Felt the same way about Alessi when he came up. Not the crashing but his whole career has been starts. This is the 1st year I've seen him pass more than he's been passed. Like to see how he will do with a full field of top 10 guys. His best year by far as a pro.

Hey Ping!!! Im writing or asking a favor..we are coming up on the 2013 sx season and I noticed it is exactly 20 years after McGrath's first 250 sx championship in 1993...I would like to see an article on that year or something to cover the best years in sx history....

The Neon gear and hair bands of the 80's were about to die and along came Pearl Jam and Nirvanna..A pack of guys including yourself began a new era...The guys riding in this time like Metzger, Clowers, and of course Deagan, started a thing called FMX...Glamis and baggy pants were the S@#&...and a KING was born...

Im 38 and remember these days like yesterday...I was listening to some Temple of the Dog tonight and started thinking of where I was when I heard those songs for the 1st time......at a MX track of course....greatest years of my life period..!!! Love to see a article in Racer X talking some mid 90's MX/SX and the changes that era had..Music, Style, Gear, Bikes, and of course a run at history with McGrath getting his 1st title.....

PS anybody younger than 35 ignore this comment...hahahaha...

great post yamyblues! and speaking of yamyblues the company (Yamaha) needs to get its shit together. The late 90's early 2000's they owned with McGrath then a certain little fella came along...
I mean they started this whole four stroke thing/debacle and it is a damn shame what their management and development team has done to tarnish their once great image imo...
No factory team = no chance. They need some new blood over there at big blue.
