Him running the "4" is a joke !
Is it bad that I see the #4 of Hughes and automatically don't have an interest in watching these videos at all? Ironically, I still felt compelled to log in and share this comment...
Who the F cares what number he is running?! Excellent instructional video.
Good info. But he should have mentioned about starting in 2nd gear and then the shift up. Gary Bailey has excellent instruction on starts.
@rcmxracing your right its a number, sure one of the greatest racers in the world wore that number, but who cares,he has great riding tips. so stop being such idiots i bet everyone of you has tried these tips
@210mx... definitly should have mentioned that
I always started with my ass on t fender and had my nose on he ross bar and pi it !
I dont get why everyone busts this guys balls. Say what you want, he is a great rider. It was a good video. Start in 2nd gear, and clutch control!
These videos are straight comedy...
Let me clarify, I could care less what number he runs. I just see the Yammy with #4 on it, telling me it's Hughes, and I lose interest immediately. Guy is a tool, good rider or not.
The people that are criticizing Ryan Hughes are pathetic. This guy has learned how to make a living riding motorcycles long after his pro days. I don't know to many tools that can say that. If your so concerned about his number then don't watch the video.
Bob Hannah did an article on starts in MXA around 1984/85. He said 1) If your first across the gate & use your clutch properly, you'll be at the first turn first. 2) To think of your bike like a pulling tractor, proper distance off the ground (couple inches). I holeshot 60-70% of my motos after this article. The "cane" was awesome.
