That was an awesome effort by Pourcel. Wish he was back earlier in the series.
I´ve never seen a more difficult track to ride in my life.
It´s actually a crap circuit, built on the side of a mountain, and the soil is clay, which, when wet, makes it almost unrideable and ends up one lined.
Again, Longuo had only 27 riders dumb enough to pay for the privilege of lining up for the MX1 class, and the grid looked almost deserted with 13 empty gates LOL. Besides the top 6 riders, the standard is pretty poor, I have to confess. Tony Cairoli though, is a class act. Congrats to him on his 6th title.
BTW, rumours abound in the paddock of Blake Baggett coming to Europe next year to contest the series with Kawasaki. I really hope it´s not true though, for no other reason that it would suit Longuo by giving his series a bit of credibility. Make no mistake, he, together with Monster energy, would gladly pay good money to get the AMA champ into the GP´s, but it would be a great blow to those trying to oust this mafia ar§ehole.
As much as we would love to see you here Blake, please stay in the US. By accepting Longue´s bribe, you would be kicking the Euro boys in the teeth.
To Euromike... I will love to see Blagget in Europe, he will cray so loud, that you in US
gone heard!! heeheheh
@EuroMike; If rumors abound over in Europe about Baggett vacating his 2012 Championship to race the 2013 GP's, that is news to me. I have not read or heard any such news and would be very surprised if it happened. If you have any links you could share of those conversations, I would appreciate you sharing them.
Stranger things have happened, I guess, if it is true.
Yes, I wish Pourcel would come back to the US. Looking forward to Herlings coming as well. Too bad the European GP has degraded so. There are still a few fast guys and nice tracks, but the mishandling and poor treatment of the riders has stained this once proud race series. How about KTM... 3 of 4 outdoor titles... MX1 MX2 AMA 450 Motocross... pretty good for those Euro-Dudes.
