@ 323mx..........The same reason guys like Townley, Stewart and many others get re-signed after doing nothing for years. Craig has close ties to the team, has incredible natural talent and speed when he's healthy, and is a great kid. Sponsorship goes beyond race results. He's young still and has shown potential, leading more than one 450 national in the past couple years. I think he will come into his own eventually, he's too talented not to.

Everyone drops like an anchor in this sport! Sooner or later I guess... I'm sure there is no pity involved! This sport has no pity for anyone. Christian was coming back from gnarly injury last year and showed good results. This year he's racing back into shape and doing not so bad. Troy sees something in this kid that's why he signed him. @ 323 mx everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the choice of words should be more carefull. Plus, don't forget that each rider has a price tag on them and each team has a budget.
@retardcross guys like townley and stewart get signed because they are proven champions and have won before, i agree with you 323mx i dont understand it either. sure he's an alright rider but theres alot better riders they could sign.
Seems Retard is the only one that gets it. Craig is young and has had his share of major injuries. He is so naturally talented, works hard and is a PR/Marketing jem like Roczen. If he stays healthy for a full year he will begin to regain his speed and cofidenance. Obviously TLD realizes that. He also is an excellent tester and is super easy to get along with. Remember the outdoors several years ago.He was leading the best motocrossers in the world and even this year has lead some laps which is more that most can say.
Plus he probably did,nt cost$$ an arm and a leg.
smart move signin this guy! remember watching him lead at Freestone in 2011... his style was so smooth and fluent, should be great to watch in 2013!
