Dang it!!! The injury list just keeping growing and growing. Get well soon Burner!!!
I was wanting him to win so bad.That would of been awsome.
....someday the AMA will figure out that they need to take a cue from nascar. I guess it will take a big name rider getting killed before they figure out that the machine has far eclipsed the capabilities of the rider.
Sorry to see you get hurt, you were lookin good out front!!!
@racepaintusa
So you want "one bike" with a governor on it? NASCAR is about as exciting now as watching paint dry.
Do you really think the current batch of 450s are more dangerous than a CR500? I personally think 60+hp that hits all at once, and marginal suspension, is more dangerous than the current machines.
Don't think he crashed ...... he just slowed up and pulled off the track... looked like he caught his foot on one of the rollers that are new this year ....
He didn't crash. It looked like his foot got caught wrong in a deep rut, and broke his leg. Talk about going from the thrill of victory to the agony of defeat in a split second. Hope he heals up fast. He was looking good.
(So everyone knows, @byrner26 didn't crash. Foot got caught in a rut. At the hospital waiting on some X-rays of his leg. #prayersneeded. )This was tweeted by his wife yesterday. Hope he will be back soon.
racepaintusa............. you are a prime example of the pussifacation of america! whats next? smooth out the tracks, cut down the jumps, shorten the straights? mx is dangerous now........always has been and always will be. we are talking a broken leg here and your instinct is more regulation? a top rider died at saddleback in the 70's. i was there racing when jd coolins died at the fla winter am. lined up and rode two more motos after the transported his body. death is not far from any of us at any given time. enjoy what you have, risk what you want, and let me live and die by the sword as i so choose........... mj
@texag when was nascar ever not as boring as watching paint dry?
even the crashes in nascar are a boring
Just got back from the race weekend, MB he had a killer lead, with everybody crashing out, it was his to loose. That would have been really good to see him win a Moto, major bumer for Burner.
This is beyond heart breaking. I have a lot of respect for Byrne, that win was his for the taking. So depressing to see all these people hurt (myself included!).
