I am big RC fan, but I think him racing loretta's is a little weak. If you still wanna race Ricky, go to a national. With everyone hurt right now, the series could really benefit from your participation. I know I know, your not in shape, but if Mike Brown can put in the top ten, I think you would have no problem putting it on the box. I would think that would be way "funner" than sand bag'n at Loretta's.

@909r,, Well said, I couldnt agree more.. I feel sorry for the guy that got 2nd place in RC's class. He had a shot at glory, and RC struck him down.

Yeah, when I heard RC was racing Loretta's I got excited. The more I thought about it though, the more I thought he shouldn't be doing it for the same reason you guys wrote about. Then after RC took the win and seeing the 2nd place guy in tears because of an earlier injury and being told by his Dr. that he'd never ride again only to come back that strong was cool. The guy deserved the win and the most decorated motocross rider in history denied him! Couldn't help but still hold out hope that when RC was interviewed on the podium that he'd announce that he ran a big bore kit or something effectively disqualifying himself. That way he’d have had the experience that he desired and wouldn’t have taken anything away from the other competitors. Still respect RC but just wish he thought it through better!

shoulda woulda coulda. I wonder if he lays in bed at night thinking about how many more championships he would have right now if he wasn't a quiter. he never signed a another contract to ride once he saw his buddy fonz get folded. He was afraid he was next lol. But yea dowd raced a few real races this year. And hes almost twice his age. The good thing about it is won't be number 4 next year. A real racer is gonna take that number...

RC doesn't have anything to prove. He's the GOAT if he won Loryetta's or not. The guy doesn't have any regrets and there's no reason to go back to the nationals. It would be great for the sport to see him out at a national again but that doesn't change the fact that he left totally on top and doesn't have to do anything more.

I don't understand how some people can tell other people what they should or should not race. Why would he want to race a national? For one, you have to be in national shape and it's pretty obviously he isn't. Two, he doesn't want to. Plus, saying he should give up 1st and give it to to the guy in second is that's like saying the US basketball team should give the gold medal to the second place team, because they are too good (and they are). I mean do you want him to hide under a rock and sell shoes or something for the rest of his life. He's 32, puffy (being nice), and hasn't raced pro in what, 5 years? So when can he ever race again?

@socalxr,, Ummmm, you might want to re-think your analogy again... You know what, I'll do it for you.. The US BB Players played the other BB Players from other countries that are the BEST from thier counrty.. Get it ??? RC was a TOP pro a short time ago, racing against AMATEURS.... Think boy....

To the people that are kinda trashin on RC. Remember, he DID race with people his age or older. he didn't steal a race from any young gun up and coming. He fought it out with Robby Reynard. (another old promotocrosser) no harm no foul.
