Competition is at an all-time high at Loretta's. And not just on the track! With hundreds of acres of fun to explore throughout the week, a proper pit vehicle is just as critical as a fast race bike, and the participants don't disappoint.
Over the years, the pit vehicles have grown bigger and bigger, transitioning from minibikes, to golf carts to today's blinged-out Rhinos, RZRs, Rangers, Commanders and Teryxs. But there's still a little bit of less-is-more out there. Our man DC snapped some pics of the coolest rides, stuff that will make you say, "they don't build 'em like they used to."

This was awsome Davey.Thanks.I love this stuff.
The Red Mini-Trail with remote resiviour shocks and extended swingarm - classic beer related engineering, something I would be proud of myself. Not likely that you are going to lose damping over a 40+2 moto with the increased oil capacity that these bad boys offer, and the augented travel and offset location of the rear axle will really help to tame the 50cc demon in high traction conditions. Only thing left would be a paddle- knobby tire, and that would complete the trifecta of awesome alcohol related geometric and performance augmented kinematics. Makes me want to model it in solidworks and perform a Finite Element Analisys to figure where the to put the gussets to handle the loads generated by Larocco's leap. Clearly, we went to the same engineering school!
I forgot to mention the sublime oversized front disc brake to dissapate the heat generated by all that inertia, as well as to provide additional leverage thereby reducing the pull at the lever. This guy knows Newtonian physics like no other!
I bow to your monumental intelligence and majestic fabrication prowess, Sensei. Let me know where to send the six-pack.
Yea, too bad I can not go bang on all the kids trailers that kept me up half the night when they ran around the Ranch on thier pit bikes and 4 wheelers.
kflorida-- plus 45.
What's going on in the last pic?? That passenger looks like he's holding a big yellow dill doe-
The pic. with Mitch Payton is classic.
i think that red z50 is one of those new chinese remake ones, judging by the disk brake, shocks, and they never had black engine cases either. still cool though
That gold Honda 350 Scrambler reminds me of one we has growing up. We stripped all the fenders & lights off & put plumbing pipes on for exhaust. Loud & proud backyard engineering. Pit bikes rule!!
