Colors look completely random and absolutely stupid. Don't know what the hell they were thinking just randomly throwing some yellow, black, red, and white in there.
Agreed. Puke! This is not an attractive looking Zook. Seems like Honda started the 'different color rear fender' look, 'couple of years ago... not that cool really.
Back when I was racing in the 70's & 80's, that look meant you broke one fender or the other in Moto 1 and couldn't find a matching colored one in time for Moto 2 so you put on whatever was available that you could bolt/duct tape into place.
Sounds technically improved but that seems par for all of Pingree's reviews. If I were buying a 2013 RM-Z 450, think I'd find a yellow rear fender and yellow side plates...
Soooo, what color do you have to run to be eligible for contingency from Suzuki???
If Ping crashes, does he wait for himself to attend to his injuries?
It's great that Ping & RXO are gladhanding Suzuki for their 2013 intro and everything but, Suzuki could've done nothing and just said "hey look, we know playriders aren't going to buy this so, we're dumping all the money we could've spent on BNG into the contingencey program. Race a Suzuki and you'll be handsomely rewarded". If I had a choice of them satisfying my need for technical improvments or my inner greedy basterd, I'd rather be able to pop for new rubber than a "power-enhancing- coupler-thingie".
Ok, on a positive note, it's great to see that Suzuki is relying on direct rider input and making the necessary refinements. Hard to find fault in that. This is very similar to what Kawasaki did with their KX lineup in 2012. In terms of appearance, I have to agree they took a step backwards. I'd much rather replace a fender than attempt to improve shifting or change linkage ratios, for example.
I bought a 2012 RMZ450 and love it! Had almost every Honda 450 since 02 and never got faster. It all comes down to your confidence on what you're riding. Good refinements on the new Zook but I have to keep my 012, I have 3 more years to pay it off. Get rid of the stupid yellow front number plate though, that used to required to race in the B class.
Suzuki is also bringing back their pro contingency program and continuing their amateur program. Good news for anyone riding yellow.
Great bikes... fantastic handling and suspension...an incredibly simple and reliable motor that HOOKS UP and rips and the fact that NO other bike will turn inside it..... ... a fender and some graphics...DONE....98% of the riders out there couldn't come close to fully using all it has to offer.....If you ride one or have actually ridden one you KNOW it works just FINE play riding and for most trail riding..if you need something for full gnarly you want a 3hundie 2 pop anyway....I like Pings gear goes right with the bike and not to pajama like.... Maicos weren't for everybody either but anybody that actually test rode one bought one...same with this bike......
I see they added more black into it. i wonder if they thought JS would feel more familiar LOL just saying I really dont know if he had any input on it but I sure would love one of those bikes no matter if they were pink. this suzuki intro should have the song black and yellow by wiz khalifa in the background. Excellent PR love it
Kinda ugly,.. no,... alot ugly,.....bet it works just fine though.
