I love these vids, wish I could download them a put together like a year recap video!
wobbb wobbb wibbobbb wobbbbb
hey i was actually jammin there :)
i'm actually relatively accomplished in creating dub step beats, I use Native Instruments Massive VSTi when I am tracking beats for projects. I used to dig it alot but then it started showing up in every mainstream song in the world, movies and even commercials (like autotune did) so now I just kinda shake my head and wonder how long before it fades away (also like autotune did, thank christ). it's the same lazy approach to music production for the masses nowadays if you ask me... but that's just one artist's opinion. so anyways, there's my baggage ;)
more girls!!!
Another great job DeRosa gang. I must admit I like the smooth mellow music at the start of the clip better (makes the slow motion footage seem so much cooler somehow). I'm an old bugger (50+) .......... so the techno-y/house fade-in/ fade-out music and choppy footage in the second half didn't do it for me so much. But still great to watch ..... thank you.
HDMI'd this biatch to the plasma, cranked up the 5.1 vegas and blam!
I agree, need to put a year in review together.... no talking, no commentating, just do what you do with bomb tracks an keep it mixed up...... perfect compliment of both types of music... instrumental, and motor music.
I'D BUY IT.
As an audio professional for more than 25 years I can appreciate the editing and music production on this video. The first half was great. The second half, not so much. I owned a commercial recording studio for a long time and we did all sorts of music from rap, techno, metal (my favorite!) and even church choirs and a ton of major label stuff for many popular artists. We used everything from 2 inch tape machines, ADATs. SSL, DDA and D&R consoles (not the plugi ins but the real deal) Vegas, Pro Tools, Nuendo, etc. plus pre amps from Neve, Avalon, Drawmer etc...you get the idea if you know anything about production.
Great job on the first half, too much stutter stuff with both music and video on the second half. You had some great angles and of course the best of motocross scenery and riders to work with. A winning combo all around....just not so much stuttering of the media.

One thing that you have to understand Redneckrider, is that Chad only has royalty free music to work with! Since he does not have the budget to work with. It is very challenging to find something other then electronic beats that are looped over and over and over again! I spent many hours, on the drive down to Washougal, with Chad, searching for some music that would work well! I even mentioned that he should get away from the dubstep and go to something more metal. But as he showed me that the metal songs are just so damn repetitive, I realized the dubstep is the best route to go!
I'm not sure about the sound since I don't have a computer with speakers at work, but the video itself is awesome. I'm a Reed and Windham fan but those clips of Dungey in slo-mo are incredible. Nice job DeRosa, keep this up, please.
A true artist.
Love the blend of music and motorcycle sounds.
@Usrnameunknown - I think his editing skills are great and there are literally thousands of indie bands out there from all genres that would jump at the chance to have their music played as a background soundtrack to a moto video for free just to get the publicity. Not all indie bands are good though so finding a good one can be a bit tough but if he goes to some of the different indie music sites and posted an ad I am sure he would get hundreds of replies. We used to do that a lot back in the day for some of our video projects! Just make sure he gets a signed release from the band stating that he can have a one time use license for their product. We never had any issues getting that from artists or bands.
You will always have critics about your work and when you do something artistic like this video, and when you throw it out into the public the creator is always opening themselves to criticism, good and bad. You have to take the good with the bad (God knows I have my own strong opinions! LOL) and you can certainly never please everyone so it is not even worth the time to try to do that. However, with a bit of leg work Chad can still find a lot of royalty free music of all styles out there that is of great quality and kill two birds with one stone.
If you talk with him, please pass on my appreciation for his work , and if you feel like it, pass on my advice as well.
Best of luck!
Wow, it doesn't get better than this. oh yeah from Zachary.
This is definitely the BEST video edit of the year, hands down. What a great job with videography, music choice, etc. Awesome to watch.
I absolutely love the feel of this film! What a fresh take on moto vids. It has such an artistic edge to it. I love all the shots, especially the take off to first turn. Wow. And the edits, dude, Derosa has been bringing out new bits with each video. Personally, I totally love the wobb wobb and screen static. Derosa, where'd you go to school to learn how to do all this? Btw, thanks for posting about the reason for the music choice. Royalties are a pain in the a**. I'm sad he isn't able to throw a little more blues jam or rock on some of these, but I get it. How about those of you with bands in mind that would give their music free for these vids, post some links for Derosa to follow! If I was in a band that didn't suck, I'd post our stuff. Haha. Derosa, what other videos have you made, or are you just filming for RacerX?
