World Championship Points Leader Jeffrey Herlings in Car Accident

MX Large is reporting that KTM's Jeffrey Herlings, leader of the MX2 FIM World Championship point standings, was involved in an automobile accident on his way back to Moscow after winning the Russian Grand Prix at Semigorje, which is about 300 miles from the Russian capitol. According to the report, Herlings was in the car with four other members of his team, but was not driving. Here's the full report.

I am just glad he wasn't driving. When I read the headline I thought,"Oh no, another rising star with an early burnout who wrapped his new Ferrari around a Russian power pole. Sounds like he'll be fine. I hope the others aren't too badly injured.
Tommy Searle wouldn't want to win that way, regardless. He is a class act as well.
