Tedesco Set to Return at Washougal
Thursday, July 19, 2012 | 1:40 PMPro Circuit Press Release
The 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship travels northwest to take on the eighth round of the series at the Washougal National in Washougal, Wash., this Saturday, July 21st. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Ivan Tedesco will make his return to the 250 class after sitting the past three weeks out due to injury. Blake Baggett, current 250 class points leader, was faced with a few obstacles at last Saturday’s race at the Spring Creek National, but is putting it behind him and is now looking to stretch out his 18-point lead at Washougal. Teammate Broc Tickle is focusing on staying consistent this weekend. He currently sits fifth in 450 point standings, and expects to put in two solid motos in order to gain valuable championship points and move up the ranks.
The Return of Tedesco
Ivan Tedesco was sidelined for three weeks due to a kidney injury sustained earlier in the season. He’s all healed up and is now set to get back in the game this Saturday at Washougal.
“I had to take three weeks off the bike for my kidney injury,” said Tedesco. “I’m looking forward to getting back on the starting line at Washougal.”
Keeping the Wheels on the Ground
After claiming a victory at the Washougal National in 2011, Baggett is approaching this year’s race with the confidence that he can dominate at Washougal for the second consecutive year. The top three riders in the 250 class are close in points but, after crashing last week and finishing third overall, Baggett is more motivated than ever to take another win and stretch out his points lead.
"I'm looking to get a top 3 start and work up to the front," said Baggett. "But I'd like to keep the wheels on the ground…"
Staying Solid Before the Break
After being plagued with misfortune the past two weekends, Tickle is focusing on his starts and keeping his bike on two wheels. He looks to stay strong, keep it consistent, and end on a high note before the series goes on break.
"The last two weekends I've had crashes in one of the motos on the weekends," said Tickle. "So the goal this weekend is to get good starts, stay on two wheels and have a solid weekend before the break."

Wilson is racing?
Hurray !
Wilson is definitely not racing. There are probably several riders listed as entered to race that will not be racing.
Aaron, any word on Josh Hill? I heard he was racing.
why don't people give tedesco crap for being out with injury...hmmm...interesting
Give tedesco a break, he's older. It's just cool seeing him out their competing. A top 5 would be cool but i'm thinking 7th 8th probably. and Yes josh hill is racing this weekened.
Tedesco might not ever make the podium again in either class...Sorry to bring the sad truth ,but after James Stewart landed on Tedesco and broke Tedescos bones Tedesco was never the same!!!!
@ hole632 or halfe316x2. are you comparing Ivan Tedesco to JS7??
The two are worlds apart, If you compare wins, titles, fan base, factory salaries, sponsorship contracts, expectations etc.
So whats your point?
uh, what's your point? why is it ok for many to sit out except one particular guy...tell me its a fair shake and I will show you someone who is clearly out of touch...
just sayin
@red54m, ur a known hater anyway based on your history of comments here...so why show up again?
You are sadly mistaken with your immature hater comment.
I never say anything with hatred expressed toward James. I simply state my opinion, from what I consider an educated point of view. I do not spew idiodic racial slurs,
I do not fail to give James the huge credit he has rightfully earned.
What I do do, is state my opinion as a fan of all racing, about a guy who has gone from the top of the heap, to a guy who you can't count on to race an entire season for 3 straight years. Nothing more, nothing less.
Iven Tedesco (Reportedly) has a Kidney injury
JS7 (Reportedly) has a hand injury which we have seen him race with 3 times. Once successfully earning a podium.
Again, I ask you what is your point? Is it you simply want James to be above reproach because people don't say the same about Ivan?
Grow up dude, Ivan never said " I am the King of the sport, I am the Fastest man on the planet, I want to take down the King of Supercross' record " I will beat the Goat etc " James said all this and put himself out there. I am sure he knew he may cause some static with some fans of moto.
I am sure James can take it, why can't you?
@ halfe, c'mon man where R U?
I mean, I came on here to read about Ivan Tedesco and there you were whinning about James?
I am sure some of the people you call haters actually get so ridiculous because of what ridiculous fanatics like yourself say.
tonewall your a but
