DAMN IT'S HOT OUT !! The temp where I'm at is the same as Red Bud, yikes ! Stewarts finish can be taken many ways. One is he rode smart after making some mistakes early and save himself for the second moto. It could also be taken as his conditioning is off, from being injured, and the heat and humidity is bringing that to the forefront. Or lastly and this is a reach, the wrist is worse off than JGR was willing to let on.
at this rate RD will have this wraped up sooner than RV had the SX
@rjstreets~Stop making excuses for JS. He has had 5 weeks to rest that wrist. Sipes rode Budds Creek with his injured wrist/hand and nobody heard him complaining and he finished 7/11, not bad. JS needs to realize (and his fans do too) that he is not the same as he was 5 years ago. If JS would stop trying to ride over his head he would stay on the bike instead of taking dirt naps in the middle of the moto.
You know the "get a sak" comments is funny but it I think it is just typical Stewart trying to get a sound bite or any attention he can. RV, RD, CR and all the great ones would just be too po'd to make a little comment like that after getting beat.

I find it amazing they gave Erin Bates so many chances, you realize how much she sucked watching this series. The cute blonde is pretty good, and gets better every race. The riders seem much more at ease with the new lady.
When stewart was (not winning) but eventually crashing, as we all predicted at KTM, we were very vocal even telling the dumb arse our strategy of following him for the first 3 rounds. Of course, as our statistical analysis showed, he imploded on round 3 at Lakewood.
No comment necessary. The only thing you have to pay attention to, is Dungey's mom shaking his hand and congratulating him on the podium after the first race at Lakewood. It was the championship shake. Dungey took a lot of abuse from you moronic fa-ggots, that have no real intelligence or racecraft and made you eat your words.

@ Kawi, while Stewart did win first two races ( 4 moto's ) finishing ahead of Dungey, thus proving to be faster on that day. The term faster, that sooo many want to label James with, is a pretty broad term. The title fit much better years ago.
Considering Dungey finished most of those first 4 motos, mere bike lengths behind James. Would suggest more that the speed is equal and the debateable issue, is more one of line choice, passing prowess and agression. We all know the Dungey story. We also know (those of us who do and have raced ) that while in the lead, we somewhat control the line options of the rider behind us. Assuming he is going to try to make a pass in a given section and we are occupying the prime spot. If we are choosing the fastest line he either has to go thru by moving us or be fast in a slower line. There was NO shame in those close 2nd place finishes. Considering RD5 firmly understands CHAMPIONSHIPS and I am sure it is KTM's # 1 goal, who was really going faster toward championship?
To not give Dungey his props by simply arguing that Stewart is faster, is not only unfair, it may be inaccurate. Dungey is now showing speed that Stewart is going to have to prove he can match. The knock on James has never been speed. It is, can he control the speed in a manner that Dungey is proving to be the BEST at. James has put the bike on the ground twice as much as Dungey in almost half the motos. At some point that has to be factored into the speed argument as well.
Are you really faster, if some of the time you can win, but your speed and crashes do not allow you to compete in every drop of the gate? And run consistently at the front in each and every moto?
Faster indeed has a broad definition and I believe that next year unless James puts in the work, focusses his efforts and minimizes the crashes, he may become the............say 5th or 6th FMOTP?
Oh yeah, I am betting Dungey will be remembered before all is said in done. You put your name in the record books enough times and you can never be forgotten!
What I saw today was a real rough track on a real hot day. Not even Texas was any sort of heat factor this year so far. Stewart will give Dungey something to think about on a nice day on a smoother track, unfortunately the series has hit the gnarly tracks and the summer heat. Stewart will do better at Washougal, but Southwick, Unadilla and Millville? Rough times ahead for the #7. I expected 1-1 for the Dunge today, but also expected a much closer 2-2 from Stewart.
Thank goodness for a stacked lites class. The 450's this year is like watching a high school dunk competition that Blake Griffin entered.
@ jw621557, not so much as giving Stewart excuses as giving the lovers/haters some discussion material. Being a Dungey/Poto fan along with some of the other top riders, I don't hate or love Stewart. You have to wonder how the wrist really is though, end of the mx career maybe ? Yes Dungey unleashed some speed in the beginning of the first moto and yes Stewart put the bike down trying to keep up.

@mxsp17 -EXACTLY!!!! - I race the vet intermediate class and never quite made to to pro status but a lot of the guys I ride with did/are. Anyone that qualifies to line up for the show is a bad ass. Anyone that bags on Stewart for a 3rd place is an idiot. The guy is finally starting to show some heart. I have bashed on him myself many times but mostly for the stupid crap he pulled in the past either with other riders, his TV show, or the cop incident. Stewart could do better at Washougal but remember he also torn his knee up there a few years back. That track can get very slippery and the shadows and loam on top are quite deceptive. Ask Windham and Reed!

Stewart has no confidence, ever since his crash in the 5 th moto this year (same type as he had many times on the Yamaha.) it's not the bike it's Stewarts way over the front riding style that makes the front end tuck causing the rear end to swap. Changing from the purse fight........... THAT, my friends, is how a motocross track should be. Red Bud was fun 30 yrs ago, and looks like a pure blast now days. I take back m theory on braking bumps missing w/ 4 bangers,...there were some doozeys at red bud.
Guys give JS a freaking break. I've never seen so much bashing on one rider in my life. If he doesn't go out and win, then "he sucks" He just got 3rd overall at the toughest MX series in the world. If he is not winning, then he now sucks according to some on here. He won the first 4 motos after not riding MX for 3 years, he injured his hand and was this his first race back. He made a few mistakes, he made no excuses, and admitted he needed to get a few races under his belt and he'll be fine. I say next weekend will be better, and hopefully, becasue that is definately RD's track. And come Southwick it should be on.
If this were any other rider out there they would be getting props this season for the results so far after being off so long and dealing with a prior injusy that he re-aggrivated. But of course its JS so all goes out the window.
I do believe there are more "super fast" guys now like RD and RV that can run the pace that were not there a few years ago. But so can JS, which he proved at the first 2 rounds. Its just unfortunate what happened in Colorodo that contributed to JS going down, as it put a real downer on the series.

Stop living in the past with bubba's world. 2-3 years ago. I'm sure that his training in 2010, when he couldn't even ride until july has affected his fitness and training in july of 2012. We have Reeds "My Way" Villopoto has a movie out, but no one knocks them for doing something other than riding. James was ARRESTED for committing a felony. That makes him a felon and I don't excuse that sort of thing from anyone no matter how good they are on a motorcycle or with a guitar, or with a shovel or any other occupation. James plead GUILTY to a lesser charge but that does not mean he did not commit the felony. It just means that they would go easier on him if he made everyones lives easier by taking the plea bargain, thus reducing court costs and trial times etc. It doesn't mean that he did not commit the felony, which he did. I don't care how much money you make, no one is above the law. They are for everyone to abide by.

I am not saying James would ever do anything like this. Not in a million years, But the case of the Green River Killer shows why the charge against James is so serious.

Hey Socal - He did commit the felony but plead guilty to a lesser charge. Impersonating an officer is a felony. Period. I simply pointed out the Green River Killer case as a point of reference as to why impersonating an officer is considered a very serious charge. The law enforcement officials in FL did the right thing by evaluating the situation and James character and offering the plea bargain to a much lesser charge. It doesn't mean that he did not impersonate a police officer. What would you call placing lights in your dash and pulling people over then? I know it is a prank but it still a felony, whether or not James had nefarious intent, or simply mischievous intentions is irrelevant. He did still commit the felony, but he was not convicted of it.
WTF is with the "Oh yea, he was white" comment? Just like James incident there was an investigation that showed there was no malicious intent, race had nothing to do with either incident so drop the race baiting crap. You are better than that.
