Funny you guys disabled the comments on the braaap bar video. You should take it down before the FDA watches it! Very poor food manufacturing! Have a good day Matt Francis!
Damn, that actually was very easy to understand. This was very useful.
@yogi13 there were no comments because it's a shameless COMMERCIAL disguised as a video
and it's a commercial showing bare-handed workers handling food products.. which just doesn't seem sanitary, and even if by some miracle it is, makes me not ever want to put one in my mouth.
I guess this is the comments section for it
Most food products are handled in this same way. I can assure you that our bars are safe. In food manufacturing, it's cleaner and safer to wash hands thoroughly rather than chance wearing gloves that could be contaminated. In fact, our manufacture has scored a 98.9 in our 3rd party audit by Silliker, doing production without gloves.
The 'magic glove syndrome' is when the surface of the glove is dirty and filthy yet the hands are still clean and dry. Food handlers do not feel the filth on their hands and do not stop to wash their hands and change their gloves.
Research shows that wearing disposable gloves over an extended time period can increase the risk of bacterial contamination, by trapping moisture and nutrients for bacteria to survive.
Our employees wash their hands and go directly to their assigned work station job. They perform one job duty, not multiple jobs/ positions as consumers are familiar with seeing employees at open kitchen restaurants do. If they touch anything but food product/ ingredients or approved sanitized work area, they must go wash their hands.
In manufacturing other than food manufacturing, a person may wear the same pair of gloves for a duration of a shift. It's been studied and proven that clean hands are safe. If anyone has a cut, etc., they wear a bandage and gloves or don't come to back to work until they are completly healed.
We debated having the employees wear gloves to prevent this worry in the video, but we are true, honest and transparent in how we do business and do not want to misrepresent how we do things.
We truly hope you will still consider using our product and can assure you that all steps are being taken to ensure a quality and clean product to the end user. Please feel free to call us anytime to discuss further if you would like.

Yogi13 thank you for sharing that video!! That place rocks! We dream of growing that big someday. Those machines cost millions of dollars. My wife and I launched this company last June with every penny to our names. This manufacture is our first step to something like that. We have discussed the glove debate with them. We appreciate your feedback and take it to heart.
Braaap!!
