its gonna be so awesome if stewart can close the gap by the last round or two so we can see a battle royale at the end of the summer

I agree. It's like a drug. I treat my friends, gf and anyone I see like shit. I end up getting drunk and losing control! When I see him stay up and ride his heart out there is no better high... Hope he can stay healthy.

Wow, some of you Stewart fans are sad, sad people. I find these comments really scary, and you really should get yourselves some help. Maybe realize that you have a life that you can live on your own, and you don't have to live vicariously through this over hyped athlete who doesn't care one bit about you. I find it really sad that it seems like James has a bunch of yes men around him, that may be one of his biggest problems. Everybody has always told him how great he is and given him excuses for his mistakes, so he just follows that pattern of "I could never do wrong, so it must have been this or that". Really sad that waste of talent.

ridenbutter, you're right about one thing, every rider does crash at least every once in a while. Not sure I'd really say they've all adopted it from him, it's been a part of the sport from the beginning, but James has always been the best at it, I'll give you that.

I don't think an over hyped rider has a perfect season or makes SCRUBBING so popular, I remember when they use to call it the bubba scrub not a scrub. Anyways hope the dunger and stewart have a sick battle this weekend.

I do think an over hyped rider comes in expected to be the next big thing after Ricky, and ends up 3 for 15 in 7 and a half years as far as championships. When you actually look at the stats, his career has been a miserable failure compared to everyone's expectations, including his own.

@warrior462 overhyped...? wow. he's the only active rider to have won at every level of pro moto, (past and present classes)
He's a shoe-in to the AMA motorcycle racing's hall of fame.
he changed the way people race motocross.
he's a legend of the sport with those credentials alone. that in itself deserves respect, even from those that don't like him. why - because he's done more in and for this sport than 99% of all the people that are in anyway involved in this sport, that includes you (and me).

OVER HYPED...? I just don't see how you can say that. you don't have to like him at all. but geez don't sound like an idiot when you talk about it.

But yea you may be right, I'm pretty sure James doesn't care about his fans at all. That's why he has fan dinners, internet competitions, giveaways and ride days for them all the time. Actually he does that more than the other riders. Wait aren't all the all champions from his Amateur National in Texas riding at his compound in FL this November...as an added bonus to their winning their classes? yes they are.
You're right he hates all of us..

your post = fail

Damn right over hyped. He had the talent to win absolutely everything with ease once Ricky left, at least for a while. Yet, due to his own poor decisions, mistakes, and whatever you want to call it, his career stats are just plain pathetic. He is not the only active rider to have won at every level of pro moto, that's an extremely ignorant comment. I'm thinking what you're trying to say is he won on two strokes as well as four, but you can't fault younger riders for coming in after two strokes were dead, it's a moot point. As far as the fans go, all that crap he does, in one way or another, he's making an unreal amount of money for doing it, and we all know he's always been all about money.

that's funny
i was talking about two strokes and four strokes, but also about sizes of bikes you know the different classes and even international racing as well. and the fact that riders were young and did come on until after the two strokes were gone makes my comment even more accurate. because he's still active and won on all those bikes. what other rider is STILL out there and has done that?
this makes your comment ignorant.

and about the fans, how much money can be made by giving fans free passes to race or signed jerseys and googles for decorating their christmas trees with their own moto stuff? or making huge hand drawn fan support signs and posting them on the internet? or paying for over 100 people to come and eat with him? get real. some people are in a position to do stuff like that. James is one of them, actually there are a few guys can do that in mx/sx, yet they don't. But hey you don't like James so none of that counts i guess.

he's got talent for days man, always has and keeps proving it. I find it funny how all the riders know he's good on and off the bike. but some people like you can't accept that. Reed even put his money on james this year. keep digging your hole.
