Blose and Pulpmx Show Two-Stroke it to Hangtown
Tuesday, May 15, 2012 | 9:15 AMThe Pulpmx Show is pleased and proud to announce that its backing Chris Blose this weekend as he lines up at the Lucas Oil Hangtown AMA National this weekend. Blose, from Phoenix, Arizona, will take the gate in the 450 class on his Yamaha YZ250 two-stroke in a show of bravado and balls.
“I know that being on a two-stroke is going to be a disadvantage but I’m going in with realistic expectations” says Blose “I want to score points in each moto, that’s the goal. I’ve been testing on the bike and I feel pretty good but yeah, it’s going to be tough.”
“My co-host Kenny Watson brought this opportunity to me and we decided that this would be a cool thing to do for Chris” said Steve Matthes “We’re pumped to do this and if he makes the podium, it will be great exposure for us! Actually we wish him luck, he’s gonna need it!”
Blose is looking for a ride for the rest of the nationals and hoping to open some eyes as the sweet sound of a two-stroke fills the air around Hangtown. Cheer him on folks, it’s a rare sight indeed.
Chris would like to thank the following sponsors for helping out in this effort.- PULPMX, FOCUS Apparel, Blose Designs, FOX, The Pit Enterprise, DEFT Family, 100% goggles and Rockford Fosgate.

nice! pulpmx making sh*t happen!
Thats cool, Ill be cheering CB47 on! Hey MX Sports change the rules
250vs250
450vs 450!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that's gonna be pretty cool!
I am super pumped for him man!!!! I know its hard to ride the same lines the four strokes use when your on a 2 stroke. Someone needs to make a 3 stroke. Best of both worlds. :-)
The KTM 300 XC/XCW is often referred to as a 3 stroke, due to it's down low torque. MXA did a KTM 300 MX conversion last year, and you could also convert a KTM 250SX to a 300 quite easily. I'd love to see a 350 2t running against the 450's.
Nice! Great job helping a good kid Mathes.
perfect timing for an old school Noleen 360 kit...
I am not a fan of Blose, but you got to be watching the guy on the yz250 2T
No 3 class nonsense.
Get everybody in the damn premier class! 23 and over (I don't care if you came from Europe) you're on a 450.
Blose is a good guy representing AZ, someone needs to pick him up for the summer!
Why do 4 strokes get 80-100% dispacement advantage? If 4 strokes are so good, why the huge bump? Come on AMA, do the right thing. Don't make 2 strokes extinct just because the Big Four don't want to develop them.
HELL YEAH!!! I'll be screaming for you out there on saturday Chris!! I love my 450 don't get me wrong, but every time I jump back on a 250 two stroke it's beyond amazing, I might be switching back entirely to 250's two strokes at this point.
It's pretty lame that a 250 cant run with a 250. It's pretty funny that 4 strokes need an extra 200cc's just to compete with it's 2-stroke counterpart. It's sad that 4-strokes get so much praise, yet have such a disadvantage. They need more motor in order to be competitive = $$$$
The Graphics look hot. Very cool Pulp Crew. The displacement rule is absurd. KTM SX 150 vs. 250's and KTM 300/350 vs. the big bikes. It's still a 100cc disadvantage! 125's vs. 250's isn't fair. If you tune/develop a modern 2 stroke to have a more electric power delivery there is no reason they can't be competitive. (As long as you don't handicap them with an
The AMA definitely needs to bring the amateur displacement rules to the pro class. I think 295cc would be enough to make the 2 stroke competitive with the 450s.
Nice the Pit Enterprises is on there! They rebuilt my top end a few years ago when I lived in AZ!
There are always two sides to a story. Sebastian has just told his side of an event that had so many things that went less than perfect. He sounds like there are plenty of people wanting him to soft sell the problems that arose.
I think his first comment about how he would like to have the opportunity to do it all over again, says it all. Maybe he will get that opportunity, and maybe not. We will see about this time next year, won't we.
Whoops wrong thread! My Bad...
Nice to see an AZ rider on a 2stroke riding @ the Nationals!! I'll be cheering for him for sure. No cams, no valves, no problems!!
