Seattle Morning Report: Delayed Schedule

Saturday, April 21, 2012 | 2:10 PM

Not much to report here from sunny (yes, sunny) Seattle. Some hard rain in the area this week has left the track pretty muddy even though it was covered under tarps, so the track crew is working the surface over right now. Track walk has been delayed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the first set of free (untimed) practices are cancelled. But the weather forecast is actually pretty clear, and the sun is out, so there shouldn't be any changes beyond this. We've posted the revised schedule below.

But don't be surprised if the track gets super rutted anyway, since it's so soft already. That's typical Seattle.

The track itself looks tight, and we count an impressive seven 180-degree bowl turns, which are the riders' favorites for passing. If the track ends up in good condition, this could lead to exciting racing.

Enjoy the show. We'll have photos, videos and practice reports up throughout the day, and today's race airs live on SPEED. Follow our How To Watch guide so you don't miss a thing.

True, 180 degree turns are good for passing... IF they aren't horribly rutted, like they will be in Seattle.

C'mon Weege, you seem to have lost it somewhat over the last year - year and a half. What was it? Brayton leaving JGR? Cox getting canned from RX? The new mini-wheats tasting like crap? You gotta get back on it, brah!!

Can't believe it's sunny might be a good race tonight, instead of the usual mudder.
