Hopefully he can fill an injured riders spot, as there are plenty of them..
why does this guy continue to get so much free press - go to hangtown and get in another fight so that i can laugh my ass off again - your vitamins (?) suck - and so do you
Just dont race the Yammy , I could see it swapping all over the place , Ryan is cool inovative guy , and was a real hard aggresive rider , Inferior equipment wont work at the pro level , just ask JS , as soon as they changed the frame , and motor location , backwards is where they went ..
How dare he run #4..
Mitch should set him up with something but I think he will be on the fringe of qualifying. He did qualify for the USGP though, didn't he??
He will make the main for sure.I wish Yamaha would let him race one of Reeds old factory 2 stroke 250s.
Take that number off your bike
Ryno seems to be a great trainer, but I lost all respect for him when he got into a fight which Lapaglia had no business being in. I would like to see him ride though, but he would probably only get a decent position due to his fitness, no problem with that though you gotta be fit to ride.
Dude Man up and go buy some suspension and motor work Kook ! Can't have Inferior equipment so somebody give me the the best stuff to see how i go... All he always say's is how much he love's the sport.. Well invest in your business and build a race bike ! U act like u want to give people so much.. When all u want to do is try and charge people for everything.. Take your 2 % and build a bike u will get a deal on everything anyway's... Let's see how much u Luv Moto X...
Blah, blah, blah. Please go away and leave the 4 on your way out.
roids gone wrong in mx....
ryno bailed on a 'ryno institute' he held in cache valley. he claimed his daughter was sick. but I would dare guess he decided he didn't have time for a small town MX community.
+ the fight at mammoth, #whatadbag
wow thanks for ruining my day by running the #4 on a yamaha. and u will get smoked by the kids at hangtown.
2% my ass...
You guys need to put down your glass pipes....Ryan can still ride. Did you miss the part where he tells you his age? I believe he said 39. Wow! How many others can still move at his pace at that age? Ryno was the most determined rider of his era, no questions asked. Yes, he has had a few incidents in his career that he's probably not proud of (his fight with Doug Henry during one of the 125 Nationals stands out in my mind). Everyone thought he was a has-been when he lined up for the nationals in '02, narrowly missing that championship to Grant Langston (which I believe he could have won had the last race of the season not been cancelled). Did I mention he rode the ENTIRE second moto at Southwickthat year with a broken leg? How about having a 125 National Championship in the bag until his chain broke on the last lap of the last moto of the year-imagine how that must feel.....well, he pushed his bike across the finish line (up a good-sized hill in the process). This guy is the meaning of heart and determination (which a LOT of current riders are missing). By the way, what have any of you haters accomplished in your lifetimes?
Hey Ryno, you may be 39 years strong but you definitely look ten years younger. Keep it up and I'll be rooting for you At Hangtown if you get a good bike and decide to kick some ass. So to the team managers look for Ryan Hughes and offer him a ride for that race, maybe he'll beat the crab out of some guys and get in the top ten. I know and he knows he can do it. Good Luck champ!
Maybe Jeremy Albrecht can give Ryno Stewart's bike if he decides not to race the Nationals.
Yeah, he's done a few questionable things in his career. But whatever, the dude is almost 40 and wants to go racing at the highest level. He's got balls and heart. And passion. And, he sure as hell adds to the entertainment factor. Somebody hook him up.
Just in case any of you didn't know, the bike is the reason JS has failed to perform this year. Thanks for reminding us once again Preston ;)
Doesn't matter what we have or have not accomplished on a dirt bike. We can still criticize Hughes' speed in 2012. Or anyone else for that matter. Would be awesome if he still has top 40 speed at that age but it still is a tall order.
And if Ryno beats Stewart on the same bike... what will you say?
Com'on you guys with the bike excuses.
He did seem to complain when he won Daytona.... uh? can you remember back that far?
If Stewart's equipment is failing him, it's his physical equipment and NOT the bike.
I'd love to see Ryno out there with the boys. I'd also like to see RC out there for at least one national.
PS: Fred - there is no main in outdoors. 2 races... all out.
There is just way too many negatives lurking around the new generation YZ450's. I commend Yamaha for looking outside the box but this bike needs work. This is coming from many "long time Yamaha loyalists". I too gave the bike a shot and ended up feeling way more comfortable at speed on another brand....stock! He'll need another color bike if he wants the best available equipment! 39?......Go Ryno!
I agree with whiskeythrottle. Here's some advise from us working stiffs...get ur check book out and spend some of your winnings over the years of racing and bet on yourself with your own wallet. Try it, I've been doing it for longer than Ryno been alive. Many ex-pros have this same attitude. I love this sport so much that I won't even go down and buy me a new bike...blah blah blah. My heros are the dudes still lining up next to me on the weekend. The roach tracks that aren't prepped and dusty and we sit in the sun with the wind howling and have great conversations while watching Dads scream at their spoiled kids. We have very lil bling on our bikes just the stuff that works. That's where it's at. Shut up and race your stock bike Ryno or stay home...either way, I'll keep having fun and racing at my present age of 50.
GO RYNO!!!!!!!
GREAT NEWS...some team Pony up that BIKE!!!
Just sayin', but Seely looked a lot faster than Ryan out there. Ryan needs to remember that teams with the equipment need something specific from their riders. Big-time racing isn't about challenging ones self as much as representing the teams sponsors well, specifically winning and being a crowd favorite. Don't race unless you have a reasonable shot at one or both, unless you are paying the tab yourself.
Glen Helen is a manly track and should be a national!
Maybe your ego can sponsor you..
D-bags doggin on Ryno. Go get your pacifiers and shut up. Any one who was into racing when Ryno was around would be pumped to see him race.
its good to know that some of you have boners for ryno.... good for you. I'll say what I want about him. I don't care what he can do, what he has done or what he should do. F that guy in the ear.... I just plain don't like him. All you fan boys can go sniff his seat after he is done riding. Don't be an a-hole if you don't want to be criticized negatively. I'm sure he can deal with it without you tools handing your testimony.
Hopefully the team that may or may not sponsor him will agree to his EULA!!
Many of you fail to realize that this guy is a real American MX badass. He gives 110% when he's on the track (in the gym, and with his nutrition). If you want to raise your program to another level (whether you're a novice, intermediate, senior or Pro) then you would definitely benefit from Ryan's program. You may not like his delivery...but the guy is a straight-shooter, and isn't going to tolerate any BS. His program is for riders who are truly serious and dedicated about their fitness and nutrition.
...In regards to Ryan obtaining some factory support or superior equipment...there are quite a few bikes that are collecting dust in shops around the SoCal-Inland Empire areas...just sayin.
