Travis is an action sports god, but currently? I vote no. What does he even compete in today? Rally cars? That's not fair to the others who are workin hard out there. Tucker Hibbert, bob burnquist, or even Shaun White come to mind....Sorry Travis.

Are you joking? Travis is probably one of the most talented athletes in the world. He can ride anything, drive anything, compete in basically whatever he wants and still do awesome.

Please explain how Rally is not "Action Sports?" Travis has done just about everything you could do in the moto world, he's a rally car champion and now, a nascar driver. Pretty impressive. Not many other Athletes can be dominate in 3/4 other extreme sports.

Personally, I hate when these pleas are made to go vote for someone for something. The idea is that people interested in the poll know where to find it and vote. Directing a whole group to go vote on something they were unaware existed isn't really in the spirit of the voting process. When I saw "Travis Pastrana needs your help" I thought it was for some worthy cause. RC has won a few "most popular driver" awards since going to NASCAR and it was due to these similar pleas. I like Travis and RC but these votes are a bit hollow if we stuff the ballot box.

And why would I go to espn.com? Surely not to find news about SX.

@ Chillmatic

Rally Cars? Really? How many rally car races are in your community? Rich man's sport only....There's nothing "action sports" about sitting on your ass turning a steering wheel....In that case, I'm gonna nominate last years' lawnmower racing national champion !!!

love travis! seen him race a few times and truly no onemore gifted riding a motorcycle! the whole action sports thing is dopy, and in travises case it robbed us of getting to see him race more.I just hope it doesnt end badly for him with one of his dopy stunts! i vote NO on all action sports

really mxdad? rally is MX with a roll cage, those guys driving ability is second to none, maybe F1. Could careless its in a car, going 100 down a dirt road, with trees everywhere, listening to directions from a co driver and going balls out seems like a lot of Action to me. Give those dudes some credit.

That's funny, when I saw Travis needs our help I thought "what the heck did he crash into this time" and is he on life support or what? Love the man but it's gotten kind of ridiculous how many times this guy has almost killed himself doing something stupid! Sorry, I don't think he's the best sports action athlete, maybe the craziest, but not the best.

MXdad318------are you serious?? Rally car racing is the most intense four wheel racing going!!! Don't diss the rally drivers----They have more balls than just about anybody.....Could be why Travis is VERY GOOD at any thing that combines skill and gasoline!!!! Go race your lawnmower !!

Yea you're right, what was I thinking. Theres nothing extreme about rally racing. Going 80+mph in rain, snow and in the middle of the night through windy trails, thats not crazy. A rich mans sport? Last time I checked a motocross bike cost about just as much as a pre-owned car. You're an "MX Dad," you should be the first one to vouch for that. As for the amount of rally races that are in myarea, there are none that I am aware of. There is also only one National track within 2 hours from me, but I'm not complaining. A stadium for supercross? Forget about that one.

Travis needs nothing, he is loaded, has everything, HE should give to those that have less, not expecting to get votes, or even the person that came up with this lame idea, should do somthing else. Go help someone on the street, or local charity.

I love Travis too but I refuse to visit ESPN a station that hates motocross and never mentions it. If the award came from Speed then I would do it.

Even though I hate espn, I still went there to vote for Travis, love the dude and so does my 9 year old son. I want to be just like him when I grow up, even though I'm 45 now...
