This is a great read from a talented top level racer.

I think the insight on MA800's move from left to right was spot on.

Maybe (maybe) not dirty, but damn sure not smart. Poor decision making and he has been plagued with it his whole underwhelming career.

I agree on MA800's move, but feel somewhat different about Barcias move- first it was smoother and he was futher ahead of him, also he had just passed him and there was no contact and no wreck. MA was getting passed and did see KW coming (he glanced over before he moved over) Barcia needed to do it so he could protect his line and pull away and did so without contact (clean) and did not cross out of his line in the air. KW and Barcia were clearly the faster guys.

Sometimes I feel way off in my opinions but this week I was right on with DV I hope that carries some weight on here.
Enjoyed the article and depth of his coverage.

David- I really enjoy your insight and observations, keep it up and keep riding man. You showed us some damn good racing ten years ago, and one day I would like to know what happened to you after the 02 season. I always felt you lost a small but important edge along in there that set your average finish back a few positions. You have always been a excellent and gifted rider and it is so hard to get the solid belief that you belong at the front, do you feel it was mental or the injuries ??
