Just fanning the flames a bit here but considering all the controversy over who was "fastest" last week (remember RV's pressure on RD in the closing laps) could it be said that with RD closing in on RV at the finish in St.Louis that he was the fastest LOL!!

I'm sure some fanboys will say RV was backin er' down...

I am not an any side here but this is sure to pop up at some point?

Barcia is a Beast...and well done Jake Canada!!

James looked a bit like his old-self (minus the crashing) but you have to think - does he really want to be at the front at he start...i mean starting is the fundamentals man...but more than anything you have to WANT the start and I don't think he does...to easy to ride from the back along with a lot of would haves and could haves and what if's...

Its heartbreaking that CR is still in the hunt and has missed 2 races! Total respect for Chad, get well soon!

uneasy_rider wrote: 9:17am March 5, 2012

JS has lost his desire to win. 5th in this field of riders is pretty awesome, but he is better than that, and I am not even a fan of his. I do not want a runaway season like it is turning into, got to get RV some competition. RD has the speed, but has to get a little outside of his comfort zone to win it. Pretty cool to see JB on the box. It is amazing how much things have changed, when a factory honda guy is 7th in points.

Claxton wrote: 9:52am March 5, 2012

As an RV fan I am extremely worried he won't win the championship with RD getting so blazing fast. RV has to win 2 more races and get 6 seconds to assure himself of the title. RD has already won 2 races of 9 and he passes better now, he can get 2 guys in 10 laps. RV has certainly been on a lucky streak having those 5 wins gifted to him and I hope it continues

What Claxton said. I don't think he can do it.

I am from Iowa and am stoked about Brayton's podium, but I can't take my eyes off the blonde Monster girl on the left side of the picture. Prob the hottest Monster girl ever......of course, like I said I'm from Iowa so I like them a bit on the thick side..

@Doctor_Dirt-Bike

first of all Brayton is awesome...second she (Diana) is so fine man...with the perfect thickness.

If I ever run across her at the races i am asking her out to dinner. Geez she is blazin

Here is somthing I figured out after 27 years of reserch of racing and somthing that Stewart and a few others need to understand. I easily figured out it was much easer to work your way from first palce to the back than it is to work your way fom the back of the pack to the front. Exibit A. Mike Alessi has always known that. B. James shoud know better? C. What the heck do I know?

Profile Picture
Welker wrote: 10:49am March 5, 2012

PS: Oh I think Brayton will get better! I used to visit up north and go to the races up there from texas. Saw Brayton way back when and knew he was gonna be good! He has made it thorugh hard work and dedication. There were always a lot of fast people in Iowa Ill and Mo. they just never got noticed. I raced in districs, 17 18 and 22 from 72 till 78. the stiffest comp was usually dist 17 in Ill.

McMoto wrote: 11:19am March 5, 2012

Claxton was just being Sarcastic. RV will have to have a bad luck night for RD to really de rail the 'lepercaun on a mission'

Profile Picture
McMoto wrote: 11:28am March 5, 2012

Welker, And here I thought that I may have been the old man on most of these posts. I started in late '72 on Bultacos. Did you stop racing in '78 ? I quit "competition" in '02. My son races and my body is trashed out for nothing but trail riding and building tracks w/ the Bobcat

CZmark wrote: 1:53pm March 5, 2012

@McMoto- you raced in the 70's on a Bultaco? ha ha How could anyone ride something like that? yeah me too! Still can't figure how anyone rode those brakeless machines!

Profile Picture
CZmark wrote: 1:57pm March 5, 2012

@Welker- research huh? I am glad to know what I was doing is part of science.
So whats up?

Profile Picture
wrote: 2:50pm March 5, 2012

...Chrome Silver and Orange tank Hodaka's when I started in 74-75... To this day, I'm not sure if those bikes from Pabatco beat the sh!t out of me more often than I beat the sh!t out of them. Thank God I found my way to Honda CR's and Suzuki RM's as the years went on. Live and learn.

Profile Picture
CZmark wrote: 5:39pm March 5, 2012

@GreenMeansGo- I am going to go with a little bit of both. Riding and racing those early day bikes were brutal. It seem like you were always trying to keep them together. Back in the day bailing wire and duck tape were essentials to all racers.

Profile Picture
wrote: 6:33pm March 5, 2012

Amen to the duct tape and bailing wire, czmark! Anybody cut their knobbies (as in the world of ice-racing) to get a few more weekends out of your tires?

Profile Picture
dgizzy1 wrote: 7:02pm March 5, 2012

The race was boring without Chad reed for sure. 2013 another RV get away until JS and RD figure it out. Only CR22 was in a position to challenge RV.

Pitch them Bultaco's sideways into a toe dragging pwerslide, who needed brakes. My CZ's brakes would stick on all the time
