Slaton Racing and Nick Paluzzi Part Ways

The Slaton Racing team campaigning the west coast supercross series has agreed to cut ties with Nick Paluzzi. Sources close to the team did not want to elaborate but did say they felt it was best for both parties and especially the future of Slaton racing. They did want to wish Nick the best of luck in the future.

My sources tell me that two other riders also left the team before Paluzzi. Sounds like Slaton Racing has an in house problem.

@redrider - I heard Ty Keenom left the team last year after the team got caught using prohibited fuel.
Who cares you are right gogreenmx2 I never heard of them until I watched Paluzzi in San Diego and heard what team he was on. He killed it in the whoops in that lcq race...Let him replace Reed!!!
Paluzzi replacing Reed would be like Jeremy Lin replacing Carmello Anthony...oh wait..nevermind

If you haven't heard of Slaton racing then you haven't been paying attention.
Paluzzi is very hot and cold. The guy doesn't train that much and got the "rock star" attitude after last year. He IS better on a 450 though.
As for being a Reed replacement, you guys are fools. Haven't you been reading that Reed isn't going to do that?
I pay close attention I haven't heard of them. So I guess I better do my homework. I have heard of Paluzzi and thats why I read this dumb article. Wasted my time, but hey for Paluzzi any press is good ! You got your name on RacerX
If you dont know who Slaton is..... you really arent paying attention.
I caught a ear full of the way Slaton and this Marty Smith guy do business and the way they treat their riders. If you only heard the way Slaton showed Nick Paluzzi some love after he finished 10th. Grabbed his bike away from him and said, "YOUR FIRED"! So if "sources say that there were indifferences", maybe Slaton should have been a little more discreate about his troubles. Your better off Nick!
I agree with the racer family. Nick you are better off without the Slaton/ Marty smith team, they gave no support for there team, we wish you luck with your mom and dad. The Slaton / Marty smith are a joke I know the riders before this year and they say the same thing about the Slaton team. Not organized, unprofessional, rude, and lies. One more thing Marty Smith and Mr. Slaton that truck and trailer that these riders were under isn't yours you guys least that truck so stop saying it yours. I know who owns it. Bruce Slaton and Marty Smith step up to the plate. You had a rider go down in Oakland did either of you go and see how he was? No you didn't.... what kind of owner is that. Now to you Mr.JimboMX374 Nick tried with this team, it's not his fault that the brass ring didn't fit. Nick and his family wanted that brass ring too. Thanks to the Slaton and Marty Smith team Nick and the other riders didn't even get a chance, the Slaton/ Marty Smith blew it for the whole team. From my understanding all the riders left. Whats that tell you.

wow mysonridesahonda, first off you should ride a blue bike. I first heard of this slaton guy last year, I know one of the rides that was on the team, all I heard from my friend was he would always lie about everything. It was just weird to read your article because I heard the same things. It's to bad for all the riders he had contact with. I think that all the riders this year made it a learning experience for anyone wanting to do anything with Slaton racing. I heard he would yell and call his riders names. For as Marty Smith no one liked him back in the day anyway. I have been watching nick ride, I hope things go good for him and his parents. Your right he will be better off. Anyway it was just funny to read this.
Gee i was wondering what happened with the paluzzi kid reading some of these response i see what happened. thats to bad for the team i went to A1 and saw that he was on a new team we always cheer for the underdogs it seemed to be a good start again for him It sucks when you put your trust in someone and they turn out to be evil need to talk to some friends about this and see what they know wonder if he will be back for Seattle
