Motocross Illustrated – Issue 14

Tuesday, February 21, 2012 | 11:10 AM

Really excited to present issue number 14 of our FREE online Motocross magazine Motocross Illustrated. This issue is loaded with great features. First a preview on the 2012 GP season, also a very special interview with former World MX and AMA MX Champion Greg Albertyn. Another feature on Monster Energy Yamaha team manager Steve Dixon and much, much more.

Also a great story from Eric Johnson about Mike Alessi and Ryan Villopoto when they were just little boys in the junior ranks. Not to mention columns from Motocross legends Antonio Cairoli and Dave Thorpe.

How about a cool feature on the FINKE desert race in Australia and also some of the best gallery images from around the World and in the past. Also columns from Motocross insiders Eric Johnson in USA, Andy McGechan in New Zealand, Dave Bulmer in Europe and USA and Tinus Nel in South Africa. Once again Ian Roxburgh has the design looking amazing and after having 270,000 readers for issue 13 we are also adding a bunch of new advertisers in the next issue.

It's a great story and part of the reason I like RV so much.....never had anything handed to him! Worked hard and beat the odds to be the best there is right now.

This is really sweet, awesome pictures and almost no ads. Wish racerx was like that.
Alessi used to be the shit as an amateur. I think RV has done a great job as a racer but not as PR for his sponsors. I lost respect to RV last year at Daytona when he almost pushed my 7 year old son out of the way, it was very early, not a lot of people were there yet , I don't care if he doesn't wanna sign something, but if a 7 year old comes up to you, least you can do is say hi and not just say I don't have time.

Sucks that u guys don't like RV. Gonna be seeing a lot of him for the next few years. Sure it's not good that he brushed off your 7 yr old but unless you know what's actually going on at that particular moment it's pretty hard yo judge.
I get the impression that racing has never been a passion for him, he does it cause he's good at it.
As far as idolizing professional athletes and autograph hunting goes? I'd encourage your kids to find real people to admire. Teachers, doctors, firemen etc..... These are the people that really make a difference. Professional athletes as a whole are often very uneducated and socially inept!
Just because they're good at something doesn't mean they want to be idolized......in some cases they don't even want to be there.
Unfortunate but true.
